Pretty good
The app has a decent user interface but I often receive notifications, immediately click the app, only to see nothing there. It’s frustrating as I have notifications turned on for a reason and often I already have the app open, so I’ll switch over to it the second I get a notification and it’ll say no available jobs. It’s becoming very frustrating.

Conflict of interest
Frontline is contracting with an app company, we’re both both our benefiting from the subscription substitute teachers have to pay to be competitive at getting jobs.
Now I have to compete with software to push a button. This should be against the law. It’s pure conflict of interest.

App notifications
I’d enjoy it MUCH more if EACH notification would should the subject that the teacher teaches.
iPhone compatible
I do not receive notifications on my iPhone. I took the phone to be checked out and all settings are correct. I do receive notifications on an old Samsung. Very disappointed since I depend on this app to receive jobs.
Helps me stay on top of things
I’ve been a substitute teacher/parapro for almost a year now and used to use frontline only on my PC. The app is so much easier since I get real time alerts to new jobs. It makes it easier to schedule my next week and I can cancel easier when something comes up.

This app is slow in updating substitution assignments and slow to load them.

Extremely slow booting and no preview of assignments in the push notifications. Horrible app experience, this is exactly why monopolies are bad for end users
Rover
You guys need to bring back Rover subs for teachers because we need to be that extra support. Otherwise how are the students going to be the best they can be arranged something with the district
App isn’t loading
Taking forever to load on my side sadly, I’ve missed two jobs because of it already. The website works but app takes forever. Used to be 5/5 but this has irritated me. Please fix. Thank you

This app is wonderful! From the moment I signed up, it was easy to use and easy to sign up. I get jobs sent to me quickly and I’m able to cancel them if necessary. I have never had trouble and I have been using it for a few years now. I recommend it to all of my friends and I no longer have to pay a monthly subscription fee for it so thank you very much.

Without having to use fisical maps it makes it easy to find any school l choose to work by using the Frontline app.
Worst app
Randomly logs you out. Doesn’t tell you what grade or school it’s for until you open it. Ringtones for alerts are trash. Needs updated to not log you out and actually tell you what the job is for!
Terrible
Unreliable. Few notifications of jobs come through. Those that do come through are for jobs that have already been taken. SubAlert app was way more effective; however Frontline no longer interfaces with that app well and will discontinue doing so at the end of the year. I have been subbing for several years and have pretty much found this app to be useless the entire time. Yes, I have gone through the trouble-shooting steps—MULTIPLE times. My subbing friends have had similar experiences. If you really need to sub to get by, you are going to starve.

Constantly giving me false alerts, force closing, signing me out. One of the most useless and terrible apps out there. (Been using for 4.5 years now)
Faulty app
This app does not display notifications properly. They should consider reaching out to Sub Alert to find out how to make notifications appear as the job does. 90% of the time no job is there even when I have the app open waiting. It is very frustrating for a substitute teacher who relies on this for a livelihood. Would love to see it improved, but would rather the districts returned to the phone call model. Worked much better than this.
