Can't use "continue as a guest"
I always want to see what it’s like to use a new app before signing in, but this app doesn’t let me do that, even though it has a “Continue as a guest” option.
The Goldilocks of educational apps
My kids have tried a lot of learning apps, but this is different. The lessons are short, genuinely fun, and Rakku (the AI tutor) makes grammar and writing skills feel like a game (without the gaming aspect taking over.) Highly recommend if you want screen time that’s actually productive.
A fun way of learning writing
My daughter has been using Gakku, and she’s been enjoying it a lot.
What I didn’t expect is that it actually teaches real writing skills. She’s been learning things like opinion and narrative writing in a very step-by-step way, and I’ve noticed she understands those concepts much more clearly now. Her writing has improved too.
It feels like a solid option for elementary and middle school kids, especially those who don’t enjoy traditional studying.

A game that actually teaches writing
I came across Gakku and saw that it’s a game-based learning app, so I had my son give it a try. He’s pretty playful and has a hard time staying focused for long periods, so this kind of format actually works really well for him.
At first, I assumed the app was more about the game and less about real learning — but it turned out to be the opposite. It genuinely teaches kids how to write.
The app breaks writing skills down into small, manageable pieces. For example, one module walks kids through how to write the info paragraph of an essay, showing them step by step how to create a strong hook to grab the reader’s attention.
Each module has clear, practical goals, and the explanations are engaging and easy to follow. So while it feels like a game, kids are actually picking up really important writing skills along the way.
Overall, I think it’s a great app.

Best gamified writing app
My kids love the app!! I never knew they could be so into studying until I gave them the app. It helps them to be better writers while having fun.
