This is a misleading app.

Calling this a web browser for Apple TV is misleading. It does not actually browse the web on Apple TV. Instead, it requires screen mirroring from another device, which completely defeats the purpose. If I have to mirror my iPhone or iPad, I can just use Safari directly. This app adds no real value.

Not a web browser and completely useless

This lets you search for a website and then tells you to download the mobile app to mirror it to Apple TV. You can just use native iPhone mirroring for free to do the same thing and easier

Even at $2 you are overpaying

Where do I start? What a waste of time/money! Nothing works. You can’t search google, web pages don’t load, it’s buggy as hell. And then when you are just about to give up the program tells you to load a program on your cell phone. This doesn’t work either. The program tells you to Screen Mirror which I could do without the program.

Useless

One Star rating is not enough, should be minus 1. I choose a browser to not have to use my phone. Now I have to mirror my phone screen to get the browser working. Seriously?

Hello. Sorry to hear you don't think Galactic is for you. Due to limitations with the Apple TV, Galactic can't open websites on the TV without the help of another device. To alleviate the problems with such limitations, Galactic allows users to browse previews of websites without their phone, search the web without their phone, and more. Unlike using Safari and normal screen mirroring, you can also browse websites in widescreen when using your phone as a controller. Each of these are impossible without Galactic. Galactic explains all of its limitations on the App Store product page, including in images and the description. If you are unhappy with the app, you are encouraged to request a refund from Apple. Doesn’t work. It says the QR code is not galactic.

Misleading

Doesn’t work as advertised. Uses the iPhone connection rather than the TV connection. I tested this by split tunneling a VPN on my router. The app is merely a browser that asks you to screen mirror. DuckDuckGo API is also broken.

Apple are thieves

Absolutely useless app.

If you have an Apple TV, do not download this app they are cheats and liars. You cannot open anything with it.

It just allows you to view the homepage and nothing else no interaction.

If Apple had any morals and standards, they would refund everyone the money for this app, but I know they won’t because they’re just another greedy company.

Money wasted

So sorry because you must be struggling to become a developer and do things right, if I knew your app does what I already do which is mirroring to Apple TV from my phone I would have saved my money on buying it, sadly Apple is bigger than a dinosaur and we all have to do what they say and I can’t simply browse the web on my screen
