Used it Twice

And immediately crashed my PC to black. Not even running other apps. And before the dev chimes in with “ChECk YoUR SySTeM…” Get bent. Runs Star Citizen on max among a variety of other apps without a hiccup. Ran this garbage twice and it crashed my PC both times.

Taken my Sim hobby to the next level

I am running GG on an IPad connected to my Alienware laptop. I use the IPad as a MFD for several sims including MSFS, Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen. The ease of configuring the shards for custom keystrokes and macros has made the complex key maps so much easier to use and immersive. Between my HOTAS setup and GG MFDs I have made, I don’t need the keyboard anymore while in my sims. As someone who not only enjoys the sims themselves, but also “nerding out” on designing shards to function as displays for the sims, I definitely recommend it!

Failed at login!

Couldn’t even log in on first use?! As soon as I use one of the account types to log in, infinite spinning wheel. Complete fail!

Useful and improving

There has been regular addition of features since launch, and the ability to create your own interfaces makes this system infinitely customizable and extremely useful.

It’s the best

I love using this app for Star Citizen. But as of today it won’t load on my iPad. Just a black screen can’t even get to the log in screen. I’m hopping it’s just bugged right now or down. First time this has happened. I would have written this in a problem report but there is thing. Please fix.

Well done

I’ve had no problems with it. I’ve had several reiterations of it and each time they updated it gets better. I use it with star citizen and I thoroughly enjoy it. I am no programmer so I really am not good at manipulating the customizing aspect of this, but when someone comes up with a good GUI, I download it and use it.

Excellent for Star Citizen

This has become essential for use with Star Citizen for me. Highly recommended. Looks great on an iPad and works flawlessly for me.

Good. When it works.

Getting it to work with my iPad was a chore and required several messages from the responsive tech support- have to be holding the iPad on its side when installing it otherwise it won’t work. Most of the time, it just stops working, requiring one to uninstall and reinstall it. I like it when it’s working but it’s really more like a weekend science project alpha build. If I had it to do over, I wouldn’t spend any money on it until all the bugs are worked out of it.

**Update** Gave this another try in Elite Dangerous. Obviously they have not made much headway. Many of the bindings don’t work at all. Emphasis seems to be on getting users to subscribe, not in offering a quality product.

Immersive way to play games

Love using gameglass for easy controls so I don’t have to remember shortcuts for all my games some great out of the box controls for popular titles and the editor is awesome!

Discontinued

This app service has been discontinued. If you install it you will only get a connecting to host sign that ends with a connection error.

Excellent Companion

I mostly use it with Star Citizen, really like the official shards and the community shards available.

Limited functionality sneaky billing.

At first i thought this was a good product, but to be honest i never use it as it’s quite useless and works with few titles. But worse it has a sneaky auto renew and as you can see is not cheap. AVOID!

App not working at all

The app is not working at all Sunday 4th September 2022.
Can’t play Star Citizen

Work great for a minute

Worked at first , but now the display is messed up and makes any shard unusable.

quick response custom controls

i have this for my ipad and my amazon fire tablets. while the fire responds just a bit slower (expected) they both are overall very snappy when responding to touch controls. subscribing gives you access to a huge amount of customization.

tip: high speed ram and ssd recommended on the hosting computer for maximum snappy response.

Could Be Better

I have been crashing and much less stable with my otherwise incredibly stable 9700k, 32g Corsair, 2080 build at stock clocks, in both Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen using my iPad Pro for buttons.
I mainly use my iPad for navigation while playing Elite but that isn’t really possible with this app. If you shrink it down to navigate with Road to Riches this app then makes you sign in with your complete email and password when returning. Ugh.
Input lag was out of control on the non-official shards I tried, while the official ones were instant. The official shards for Elite looked very dated and none were very easy to read from distance or at a glance with muted colors and small writing.
They advertise “Thousands of games”. Yes you can makes shards yourself, if you have tons of time, for lots of games, but there’s only pre-made shards for very few at best and many say they’re alphas.
The app has potential, I subbed for the year and I’m kind of sorry I did because right now, I feel it’s a bare bones experience at best.

Overhyped

Okay when it works, but more often - it does not. Lags, not loading PREMIUM shards, buttons on Avionics shard for Star Citizen has some buttons WITHOUT actions bounded to them.

Utterly disappointed. Mapped all needed buttons to my HOSAS and ditched this garbage

Email

I never got to try it out as it would not accept my e mail address as an address.

Game Changer!

I’ve been using GameGlass with Star Citizen for a few months and play with it on an iPad in between a pair of t16000 sticks. I love the setup. I have started experimenting with the Forge which is pretty cool and useful as well. Support is very good. Anytime I have reached out, I have gotten a quick reply. This is definitely worth the try, especially if you play any sim games.
