Review

I love the concept but I can’t seem to even be able to use the app because every time when I go on it just brings me to a Blank screen and I’ve tried everything to fix it

Broken

It worked great and one day I got in it and nothing will load

Pretty good

I love the idea behind the app, but at this point the concept needs to be modernized and streamlined. The server seems to go down frequently, and the map could be updated with more topological information and greater detail.

You would expect a map to have cities

Like seriously

Great idea, buggy as hell.

Too much lag to be useful. Also how about links to Wikipedia pages detailing the significant events? This, and a slightly more user friendly interface could make this app really amazing! Maybe even some quizzes too…?

Laggy Mess

Good concept bad execution can’t use it without it lagging

No year I guess

It did not show me when i put a year just use the website

IT’S GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this app it is so great I can’t stop playing it! But there is 1 issue, these empires which are listed here:Spain,France,Portugal you don’t have borders for the colonies. GREAT! But 1 issue.

great idea, poor execution

they need to hire a legit software engineer. app is so buggy it’s barely usable

Great app but....

I love this app but for the past week or so it won't load:( it just goes to a blank screen with all the options , I've pressed everything yet it still wont load, if anyone knows how to fix this please help

Pretty good but 2 issues

First of all, I really like this app. However, it sometimes crashes and the system is a bit outdated (ba dum shh) so I get it that a lot of data is hard to find because it’s so old, but a lot of old borders are incorrect. Pretty good, just needs some fixes.

Lack of information

No historical information at all

My Response

Can you probably add the states of USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, UK, Russia, China, India, and Australia please?

Pretty good app but needs a few changes

This app is pretty good but here is a few suggestions

Please update the name of Swaziland to EswatiniPlease add support for newer iPhones
Show Kosovo
Thank You

So useful for learning history and geography.

Very useful to show students how history changes over time.

Please make one fix though. Please mark Taiwan with different color than China to reflect the fact they they are currently governed different governments. Should mark them the same color only after they truly become one when that time comes.

Excellent Historical Map Tool

I’ve been thinking for ages how great an global history map would be to shows changes to country borders/cities and/or significant historical events.

Turns out exactly the thing existed!

It’s not the graphically most advanced app you’ll find - but excellent guide and a brilliant teaching tool.

Love GeaCron!!

I don’t even care that this app isn’t great. I’m happy to throw you guys a few bucks and a 5 Star rating based solely on how much I use your website.

Superb app

I’ve long been a fan of historical atlases and have been waiting for an app on the iPad which gave a year-by-year account and this is it! It’s clear and easy to follow and covers the world in a sensible way right back to 3,000BC!
The way one can step forward or back in steps of 1, 10, 100 years etc. Is very neat tho it took me a few minutes to spot. Americans may be surprised the USA doesn’t appear till 1784 but it seems reasonable. It also has a sensible treatment for “uncharted” territories. The Wikipedia links are very extensive and appropriate and support the decision for it to be an online app, which also keeps the footprint small.

Amazing!

This app is amazing and it’s super cool and detailed!! I love it I sometimes just hop into a random year and look about!

Great idea, lousy execution

I love the idea of this, but it's just a poorly constructed porting of the website. Maybe great for a desktop, but fails to respond to mobile needs. Can't zoom out easily, doesn't transition from landscape to portrait well, and the controls are far too small.
