What's New in Gear

1.3

August 7, 2026

Gear-Life 1.3 is the biggest update since launch. Track More Gear: Running vests, hiking poles, helmets, compression gear, and prescription orthotics now get their own wear tracking in the new Other Gear tab, right alongside your shoes and bikes. Weather-Smart Closet: A new gear impact badge in your Closet header shows how today's conditions affect your equipment at a glance. Gear Diary, Rebuilt: Search your entire gear history by keyword or date. Filter by This Week, This Month, and more, or browse by any month you've logged. Swipe to edit or delete any entry. Retirement Portraits (Pro): When you retire a shoe, create a commemorative AI-generated portrait to celebrate its life, powered by Apple's Image Playground. It's saved right to that shoe's Gear Diary. 7-Day Activity Forecast (Pro): See which activities and gear suit the week ahead, based on real weather, your gear's health, and your training load. Monthly Digest, On Demand (Pro): Generate your monthly performance summary any day of the month, not just the 1st. Plus improved workout detection accuracy and a number of stability improvements.
