Will no longer let me sign in

This app is useless now that it errors out every time I try to use it. It won’t update, it won’t let me even create a new account. It’s absolutely useless at this point.

Forced Subscription

This was an acceptable app with the option of subscribing, but as it has been updated it’s now harder and harder to use as a stand alone. Most recent update bolted my spa and made me “Set Up” after I already was configured with WiFi and paired. Now I have to start all over with a new install.

Mauvaise connection

Mon spa est toujours entrain de se déconnecter peut importe se que je fais dans votre soutien technique.

Boondoggle

We had the Gecko in touch 2 which was buggy but you could get to work and the schedule feature worked great and was free and would save $ overnight on hearing. Now we spend 100 bucks to get the new hardware to upgrade for faster features only to have them lock out the schedules and make you pay 8.45 a month or 100 a year?!? More than a basic Netflix subscription for god sakes.

Not to mention what a huge pain it is to install this thing. If you have a in.touch 2 don’t bother upgrading.. what a boondoggle

No notifications

The first few months, we didn’t have any issues with the app. We use Frog@Ease inline system and didn’t have any problems with the readings. There have been some app updates and now things seem “wonky”. When the test strip shows purple for SmartChlor, the app shows 10 ppm. That is so far off that it makes you wonder if there is a problem. The default for anyone that uses Frog Ease should be in the normal range, not 10x higher than it should be.

I am also no longer getting notifications on my iPhone like I did when we first got the spa. I have my phone set for them to come through, but it has been months since I have gotten any. I have to open the app everyday to see what things look like.

Very limited with Endless Pools E550

I’m a little disappointed by the lack of free features - when buying a swim spa that expensive, you’d think Endless Pools and Gecko would have an agreement to avoid having the customer pay any subscription. Furthermore, the app needs work: it shows Pump 2 but I only have one pump. And also it’s very hard for us to tell in the app if the spa lights are on or off because they use colors that look virtually the same. UX/UI person needs training…

Doesn’t work!!

When setting a ‘Standard’ schedule to run the pumps, there is a ‘start’ time and an ‘end’ time, but the instructions in the app state that there’s a ‘start’ time and a ‘duration’… completely different!! Also, no matter how long I try to program the ‘start/stop’ time, (the smallest increment is 30 minutes), it shuts off after exactly one minute. USELESS!!!

Broken

The latest update you cannot control the temperature. The buttons do nothing.

Total waste not even able to setup

Total waste I followed the setup for an account got the authorization code did that then agreed to the terms and consent page entered first and last name then error said it couldn’t connect to server. No internet issues the spa shows in.touch connected all devices have internet total waste of time.

Don’t fall for their subscription trap

I used to be able to create schedules. Now they want me to pay a monthly subscription to access something previously I had and they put behind a paywall. I already paid for the hardware and it’s not like this was a new feature that was added after I purchased it.

Developer For 32 Years

When I deal with this app my head shakes with disbelief. It mostly worked for the first week I had it Then I got a message spa stopped checking-in. I checked the help solutions and yes the Led is blue whifch means all is well. I checked my router and according to the local IP my in.touch3 and the server are communicating well and in both directions. I found that it disabled the filtration options I set up in my Arctic spa so it is no longer running when it should. It has some sort of erratic schedule only known to itself. I put in a help ticket and did not get a receipt to acknowledge that they got it. I am now discussing this with Arctic Spa support. This should not be sold in their stores as it does not speak well for their choice of support contractors. What a terrible waste of money.

No warning or notification if connection is disrupted.

The breaker to my spa flipped in mid February while I was out of town. I assumed the app would warn me about a pending problem. But, this app doesn’t give you any warning if it stops measuring the temperature. Seems like rather than giving me a warning every time the temperature temporarily exceeds the set temp (which corrects itself automatically without intervention), it ought to give me a warning that my spa is at risk of freezing up because the power is out, or at the very least, let me know when it isn’t monitoring anymore. Company says the app “just doesn’t do that.” It would be a far more useful app if it included that simple warning feature. Thus the app really doesn’t provide any peace of mind, or protection.

As advertised.

I have read the many negative reviews for this app. I have not experienced any negative issues with this app so far albeit I just installed my jacuzzi along with this app 10 days ago. I placed my router within inches of my modem and both are inside my home approximately 20 yards from the jacuzzi. All the functions are working flawlessly. If that changes in the future I will update this review.

Ruins the Bullfrog Spa for me

Bad hardware, bad software, pay to play subscription, it’s all bad. I can’t believe bullfrog Spa’s would want to be associated with this product. It’s basically false advertisement, that you pay an up charge for.

Why are there adds in my app??

There’s an ad an app that covers part of the functions that you need to use the app. It won’t let you exit out of the ad who is the idiot that designed and put an ad on this app to make app unusable !

Greedy

**update** developer responded to my review stating that scheduling temperatures is not locked behind the paywall. This is a LIE. There is nowhere in the app to schedule your tub without paying for premium to unlock the “smart” features.

Pay hundreds for a WiFi module promising energy savings and convenience… get it all buried behind a subscription paywall

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback. The app is free for all remote control functions (temperature, pumps, water care, filtration scheduling, etc.), while advanced smart features are optional. We’re continuously improving both free and premium features. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or suggestions.

DOES NOT WORK

TO BE CLEAR:
The in.touch 3 (really in.touch 2 V2) modules that I purchased from Pool Store Canada DID connect to the router and spa module (displaying the blue led). The application DID (at times) display spa temperature and pump status, but the SMART SPA routine NEVER became available. That was the primary reason I purchased the in.touch 3. The SMART SPA ROUTINE NEVER WORKED.

Thank you for refunding the $120 software fee.
I will contact Pool Store Canada regarding the hardware.

Broken

The latest update (18) broke the spa controls in the app. They are shown as always in, even when they are off. This means you cannot interact with the controls at all. It’s completely broken!
