Horrible app
As I have many apps for home appliances, I fully expected this app to work or to make my phone work as a remote control for the Wi-Fi as opposed to an appliance. In fact, it’s always been my experience that the app offers more flexibility than the appliance itself. Not so with us without a paid subscription. You basically can get the temperature reading and you can set your filters on a preset schedule.. You can’t make any custom notifications of settings that you might like to be reminded of. The subscription supposedly offers so much more but given how deplorable the basic application is I think they’re just trying to get. A subscription out of you for nothing.
Another that, unfortunately, this is all that’s out there that may be true. I don’t know, but if it is, someone really needs to do something for the Hot tub and get a Wi-Fi program that it’s actually has functionality because this one doesn’t. And on top of it having little to no functionality, it drops the signal I don’t know how many hundreds of times it’s a horrible program.

Everything useful is behind a subscription
The system itself was an expensive upgrade, yet without paying for a subscription, there’s very little you can do with it. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn’t have spent the money on Gecko.
Annoying
Update now constantly sends notifications that are beyond unnecessary, every day. Can’t turn off certain notifications.
It’s an ok app otherwise, but you can tell they are more focused on their subscription system than they are about actual user experience.
Email them with suggestions and they don’t respond. They literally do not care.

Will no longer let me sign in
This app is useless now that it errors out every time I try to use it. It won’t update, it won’t let me even create a new account. It’s absolutely useless at this point.
Forced Subscription
This was an acceptable app with the option of subscribing, but as it has been updated it’s now harder and harder to use as a stand alone. Most recent update bolted my spa and made me “Set Up” after I already was configured with WiFi and paired. Now I have to start all over with a new install.
