The car is great
The tech is not. I feel it is way behind other EVs. Not much is intuitive. The key locking/ unlocking system is anything but hands free. The voice command is Useless, at best I can open the sunroof and change the temp by 2deg. All the tech available in the world and the Geely software is Luddite. I expect better. Even the apps are rubbish. Seriously????

Buggy
This app is full of bugs and doesn’t work properly. The old app was far more reliable. I recommend staying with the old app for as long as possible. It seems they have released this app without thoroughly beta testing it first. The biggest issues are it fails to stay locked in and you need to close logout and go back in again in order to see your vehicle controls. Also, the data SIM usage function is missing. And the app often throws false errors such as Park failure. It gets stuck on the loading screen with the picture of the vehicle until you log out and log back in again daily

Issue with no access to car or acc when opening app.
Every three times i open the app, the only screen the app shows me is the car models. I have no other option than to delete the app and reinstall and sign in again. As a first time buyer of geely, I expected the app to be fully functional, seems all the users have the same issue. Fix asap!
Disaster
One word Disaster
I genuinely need to rant about this.
There’s no point having great sales in Australia, consistently ranking in the top five month after month, if the app experience is like this.
Geely, please protect the momentum you’ve built. These first three years are critical. This is the time to make sure customers want to stay with Geely, and a big part of that is delivering reliable software that actually works without constant bugs.
You can’t ask customers to move to a new app and then give them an experience like this.
Once Tesla, XPeng or other strong EV brands start competing properly in the EX5 price range, Geely could easily lose existing customers to another brand. All the momentum you’ve worked so hard to build could disappear very quickly.
A good EV needs equally good software. It’s part of the car now, not an optional extra. If the software is unreliable or constantly buggy, it genuinely affects the ownership experience and, depending on the feature, could even become a safety concern.
It would honestly be such a shame because the EX5 itself is a great product.
Come on, Geely. Please get this right. You’ve got something good here. Don’t waste the momentum.
Thanks.
