App now useless
This update has made the app useless. The intrusive advertising is disgusting!!! Bye bye geeni

Since last Up-Date the Genni app is full of Adds! Also is not working properly. I cant se my inside camera since last Up-Date
Awful update
Please switch it back! This new update 2 days ago makes it take a lot longer just to turn a light on, off or adjust. Not user friendly anymore
Stupid update
No one asked for AI features. Just turn on the lights at sundown and turn off the fan when I click the screen. That’s all you need to do.
Why does the latest version look old-fashioned?
The latest version looks like something from out of the past: naive design, having to do multiple clicks to get to what one wants. What happened?
Latest upgrade is terrible!
I updated the app, now all my rooms and lights are gone!
Why change the list?
After the upgrade, there is no list of devices - instead it’s a bunch of tiles/cards. This makes it more difficult to find what you want, especially if you’re trying to turn things on and off in the middle of the night. Why is there no option for the user to change the view back to list?
Loved the old, not the new
After the last update we really don’t like the layout. It went from simple to more complicated. Never a good way to make customers happy.
Crashes after update!
The Geeni app has not worked since the latest update on my ipad mini. It opens and immediately crashes. I tried removing and reinstalling the app, and it still crashes.
My other devices are fine, it seems to only be a problem with geeni on the ipad mini.

Terrible cameras
Don’t waste your money
These cameras are garbage, i wound up throwing the cameras in the garbage and eating the cost which was substantial, I can all but guarantee you will regret your purchase, next to impossible to set up, by the time you get a notification with the doorbell camera, the person is long gone, the outdoor cameras with the motion you cannot set them up to give you a notification if somebody’s in the zone, trust me when I say you will never find a worst camera system on the market.

Does not open
My app was just updates and now it doesn’t open at all. I’ve been using for years and had no problem up until now.
Please remove the ads
I AM ABSOLUTELY SICK AND TIRED OF THE ADS! Please remove them. I had considered subscribing to the cloud storage because SD cards aren’t that great. But the ads changed my mind. I’m not going to spend money on a service that spams me. Also, lately I haven’t had a great experience with the product itself. A camera that has inside had broken. So I contacted Geeni customer service. it took them 2 MONTHS to send me a replacement which broke within 2 days of arriving. I’m not going to bother wrestling with customer service again. I probably wouldn’t recommend Geeni mainly because of the ads. PLEASE TEMOVE THEM!!!!! OTHERWISE IM GOING TO SWITCH COMPANIES.

If I could give the zero stars. This app went from a five star to I absolutely hate it ! I hate when these apps update and makes the app worse than the previous version. I liked being able to open the app and all of my devices were there and able to be controlled from the homepage that the app opened on. I go to my app today. It’s been updated and I have to learn how to use it all over again and then it takes 2 to 3 steps to complete an action that previously only took one. Tell me how this makes this app more efficient please. I’m so sick of these developers always trying to revise but doing revisions that don’t make any sense!! Please give me the 4.0 version back. I hate this version of the app.

Worthless
I used to love geeni and the app. Now every time I look at my cameras I get adds. Thankfully they did this before I bought more cameras. Now I’ll just find another company to use.
Recent update messed is messed up.
I’m starting to think this is a widespread issue these days where software and app devs think by making more steps to accomplish a task is somehow improvement. The app was just perfect before when you can just open it and have all the devices there and could tap on the square and control it. NOW you have to open room, open the device THEN control it.
Please think before making changes that are nonsense.

Became Trash
Pop-Up adds has ruined the App. Now after creating groups, rooms, device labels, etc. The app updated and changed everything. Made it more cumbersome rather than more user friendly. Not long before all of my Merkury and Geeni products are replaced with a superior product.
Nope!
The update wiped out all of my individual lights. The only thing I have left are my groups. Phillips Hughes here I come.
Version 5.0.0 Deleted My Devices
What a joke! Has no one ever heard of Quality Control or Change Management? In what universe did someone make the decision to delete devices? I had 15 devices setup with multiple custom scenes that took a lot of time to create when the devices were implemented. Can this update be rolled back and have all of my devices rediscovered and reconfigured?
