About

Genesis SOC is not a stand-alone app. It works only for security officers whose company uses the Genesis SOC platform, and your company creates your account; there is no sign-up in the app. If you run a security company and want to use Genesis SOC, sign your company up at genesissoc.com, then add your officers on the dashboard. They install this app and sign in with their phone number and the sign-in code your company gives them. SHIFTS See your upcoming shifts, clock in when you arrive at your site and clock out when you leave. A timer shows how long you have been on shift, and reminders tell you before a shift starts. PATROL See your site and its checkpoints on a map, and check in at each checkpoint as you walk your route. REPORTS Write incident reports and daily activity reports on your phone, with pass-on notes for the next officer. PHOTOS Take photos for your reports with the camera and mark them up before you send them. MESSAGES Message your dispatchers and read what they send you. TIME OFF Request time off and see whether it was approved. WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL Clock-ins, checkpoint scans, photos and messages are saved on your phone first and sent when the signal returns, so they are not lost in a basement or a parking structure. YOUR LOCATION While you are clocked in, the app shares your location with your company, including when the app is closed, so dispatch can see you on the live map, know if you leave your site, and keep your route for the shift report. Tracking starts when you clock in and stops when you clock out. English and Spanish.

What's New in Genesis SOC

1.2.0

October 29, 2026

Message notifications now show while the app is open. Messages open at the newest message, your own messages are on the right, both message bubbles are easier to read, and conversations stay readable offline. The Photos tab lists photos still on your phone first, marked waiting or not accepted. Photos the previous version could not send are recovered, and the app asks before deleting an unsent photo. A photo that keeps failing no longer holds up your clock-out, check-ins, reports or messages. Location is asked for only when you clock in, after the app explains why. Patrol no longer asks. Before an update, the app sends your waiting work first. New help page under Profile: Keep the app up to date. Your sign-in is kept in the iPhone's secure storage, and signing out stops notifications to that phone. With the app in Spanish, permission prompts and error messages are in Spanish, and a language change applies right away. Profile shows the app's version and build number. Fixes to pull to refresh, editing a patrol scan, and time off requests.
