What’s the Point of Card Controls If Transactions Still Go Through?
The Genisys Card Controls app is honestly frustrating and defeats the purpose of having a “card lock” feature. What is the point of turning your card off if transactions can still go through anyway? A locked card should mean the card is locked — not partially locked while charges still process in the background.
The app gives users a false sense of security because you expect your money to be protected when the card is disabled. Instead, transactions are still being approved, which makes it hard to trust the app or the bank’s fraud protection system.
For a banking app in 2026, customers expect:
* Real-time blocking of transactions
* Instant notifications
* Reliable card freezing
* Better transparency on why charges still process
Right now, it feels unreliable and outdated compared to other banking apps. If the lock feature cannot fully stop transactions, there needs to be a much clearer explanation inside the app about what will and won’t still go through.

Useless
Doesn't work. Can't protect my info cause what's preloaded in app is info from 2 years ago. Customer service is USELESS!!! They don't know how to do anything and then they lie on top of it. Also the categories are way too general to be of help to anyone
