Won’t even open on my device
I’m an Android user, and Human Things have completely forsaken us at this point. So, I dug this iPhone 6 that I keep in my car as an iPod out to download the app so I could update and tune my new Waveforms. Guess what? It says iOS 12 is supported by the app (minimum, but still supported), and yet the app won’t launch. I tap it, a black screen zooms in like it’s opening, then exactly 1 second later I’m on the home screen. Thanks, Human Things. Now I have to borrow my roommate’s iPhone any time I want to adjust *anything* on my earbuds. I love the GENKI line, but you really crapped the bed on almost everything about these disturbingly expensive earbuds. Glad I bought them on deeeeep sale or nothing about this would be worth it.

Just got my Genki Waveforms and this app works exactly as expected. Not sure why the reviews are so negative.
Headphones don’t connect to Steam Deck OLED
Can’t get the headphones to work on Steam Deck OLED, only in DualStream mode will it work correctly. Will not work by itself.
Looks nice, does nothing
I’m listening to music through the buds connected to my phone, but when I tap connect in the app, nothing happens.
Never been able to upgrade firmware
Firmware upgrade messaging and process is confusing. Not super clear which firmware it is updating from or to, as the versions mentioned are not clear, but that is a small Ui thing.
The bigger issue is that the firmware upgrade just says “upgrade failed” with no cause or way to fix. Then if you reconnect the pair, instead of attempting to recover it pops up a dialog telling you to upgrade and no choice to dismiss.
Grateful the buds still work though, very great quality build and hope to keep enjoying them for years.
