Stopped working
At first the app worked great, but over the past year, when I click on anything, the app is left buffering. Since the latest update, I can’t even get into the app anymore. Super bummed because it started out awesome!
App is crashing and support page is blank - something went ‘wrong ’
As above iphone 11
Keeps crashing!!
After a minute or so the app will crash and immediately tries to log me back, time after time. Please fix it!!
Waste of money
Don’t bother with this, it’s a complete waste of money!
Waste of time and money
If you are following Dr Gundry’s Plant Paradox or ANYONE’S Keto diet …… they are not up to date with the research.hello
Don’t bother it’s a vitamins scam
The recommended foods are all weird very uncommon foods. This is just a way for them to try to sell you vitamins. There was supposed to be an online class to explain your results. I was never able to connect to the class. This is a huge disappointment.
Clunky ap
I take DNA results with a grain of salt, so I won’t comment on the accuracy of their results but the ap is built terribly. Text overlaps, frozen screens with no back button or X out option. Pages are hard to read and formatting is off. I’d expect more from a paid service.
Oh no!
I should have known better! All the information I received is basic nutritional advice. I’m sure the food intolerances I have are acquired, not genetic, and if I were to eat some of my suggested foods I would be in gastric distress! And this is true even after the fact that many of my intolerances had been listed for GenoPalate. Yes, I was gullible! Oops!

Not Worth the Money - Suspicious Factual Basis
As a medical professional and graduate degreed engineer, this does not seem very scientifically based at all. I’d love to remain objective about what I’ve seen. But honestly, the impression I’ve been left with after reading the analysis they give you; at the very least has left me quite unfulfilled and disappointed from a content perspective. I felt the guidance was very general and generic. It was more like what you’d see by searching the internet on any health site; and did not appear to be based on a true analysis of the DNA data that I sent them. Also, many of the results were counter to what several doctors have told me…..about me. For example: The carbohydrate analysis they provided me is actually the direct opposite from what I’ve seen in practice with my diet, including intermittent fasting.
Also the recommendations/results they give seem to more come from common sense conclusions drawn from the “health survey” they ask you to fill out, rather than from an actual analysis of your DNA data. Unfortunately, this does not seem very scientifically based at all, nor did it offer me any credible insight on how to improve my health. I’m willing to accept that for legal reasons this has to be generic. But I’m really curious of what kind of, in any, medical professionals are involved in this process…..I mean actually involved and not just a name they claim. I’d love to hear a response from the owners of this product on the specific issues I raise. But so far, this seems like good money for a bad product.

App is not working
The app doesn’t work with the new apple update. It keeps enlarging the screen making it difficult to get out.
Interestingish
Not very insightful but a clever idea. Very expensive for the information you get.
Useless Money Pit
I do not know how the developers and staff can sleep at night selling this load of garbage. Iam a medical professional diagnosed with Celiac Disease 21 years ago. I have “classic”symptoms as did my mother and so do several children and grandchildren, and yet my so called personal results say that I am unlikely to be sensitive to gluten. That is a red flag to me! I can’t trust ANYTHING GenoPalate concludes from access to my DNA ! The results do not seem to be tailor fitted whatsoever, my friend purchased her analysis at the same time that I did, she is an athlete in peak condition whereas I am retired and nearly sedentary, yet our personal recommendations were identical. Interestingly we are both vegan and our “plans” are mostly meat and dairy. Thanks for nothing!
The recommended percentages “for me” are ripped right from the pages a of the antiquated Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is the reason. All of us come here, thinking there is a scientific way to approach eating that is different for everyone. This is nothing more than a marketing ploy to sell you “personalized” vitamins (which I can assure you they are not taking into consideration issues such as malabsorption or Covid-19 or else they wouldn’t be trying to sell me less supplements than I already take in light of those factors.
Like so many reviewers here, and as a Registerd Nurse and Functional Nutritionist, I advise you to save your money and spend it at the gym or visiting a Functional Medicine physician, GenoPalate is general, non-specific, and non-individualized information.

Info helpful until the app freezes
Would give this a four except I have to keep removing and reinstall the app to work
Thought it was a temp glitch but it keeps happening After I log in and start looking are the info clicking in for details all works well up to about 10-15 minutes in where I am stuck on a page and no amount of click on the screen enables any progress. Nothing works other than Erving and reinstalling

don’t bother!!
I was suspicious but since there was a deal for people who’ve used 23andme I decided to give this a shot in case it did tell me something new and helpful.
Nope! So glad I got it on sale and can just shake my head at my choices rather than full on regret spending $80+. There are certain things I do know about my body from many doctor visits over the years that this is waaay off on it’s predictions (recommended carb intake being the absolute worst).
Seems like a roundabout way to sell diet / nutrition counseling without calling it that.
And trust me I understand they can’t predict things 100% from a DNA sample but honestly for the price the info you get just is not worth it. You can Google this information if you really tried.
If it was $20 sure, but for more than that you might as well make a 1:1 appointment with a professional nutritionist or endocrinologist. Blood work and a physical exam will give you so much more useful info.

Awful app
GenoPalate took my money —- no problem! But now I can’t login to find any of the information that I paid for. The app shuts down; erases my order number and my product code before I can complete the log in page. It’s almost like it’s a plan to take my money and never give me any real information!
A must have app/service for improved wellness
Very impressed with the app and service overall. For once I feel like I’m making data/science-backed diet decisions that are making a difference in my life. Eating a diet customized to my genes and feeling great. Awesome!
Unable to use
After an update and a restart I am unable to “click” on the sign in button. If I scroll up I can see the button but as soon as I let up on the screen it slides back down and I am unable to press it. I’ve tried leaving on finger in place scrolled up and pressing sign in with my other finger to no avail! iPhone 6 problem?

Save Your Money (Updated)
The results I received can just as easily be found on government nutrition sites and searching some of the trendiest foods. I had civil exchanges with customer support, but all communication stopped when I said I had followed a similar macros diet... and gained weight. I also mentioned that some of their “best foods” in certain categories were foods I’m allergic to, or cause other negative reactions. I did not ask for a refund as they did deliver a plan, I just think the plan is random and/or arbitrary.
Update: As you can see above I mentioned customer support stopped communicating. In the “Developer Response” I got it says, “Please email us at...”. Well, I did address that. So I’d give little credence to the response.

Ok update. I reset phone phone setting to factory default w/o erasing any data. Issue resolved.

Questionable Data! Requires Dr Review!
Thought I’d try it despite very low ratings from Better Business Bureau (D-). I must agree with the negative reviews though that for my particular genetic mutations the recommendations are unsafe. It is telling me to take iron when I have been told to buy multivitamins without iron due to excessive iron levels. Recommendations for B vitamins also way off from those prescribed by my doctor. This may be a ploy to get genetic data. Don’t care about the money as I bought the cheapest option for $39 to try it out. But I do care that I released my 23andMe raw data to these people.
