Great instrument
Toto make it short: a great instrument I highly recommend
Amazing & innovative!
The sounds are excellent, and when connected to a MIDI keyboard, it becomes even more powerful. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but once you get comfortable with it, the creative possibilities are amazing.
If you’re a keyboard player, music producer, or simply love exploring new ways to make music, GeoShred is absolutely worth trying.
No sound coming :(

GeoShred Control is NOT an audio app. It's a FREE MIDI MPE controller. The product page clearly explains this. Here is the first line of the product page: "GeoShred Control is a stand-alone MIDI/MPE controller. It does NOT have a Audio Engine". Also first launch brings up a full screen that explains this. If you want an audio version of GeoShred, get GeoShred Play (Blue Icon) or GeoShred Pro (Green Icon). Why don't you reach out to us directly and we can help you ... support@moforte.com

Always the best!

The harmonica is polyphonic. Just press on the "Poly" button on the Control Surface.
Unexpected bundle of joy

Thanks for the review, it so positive. But why the 4 star review?
Very Poor

This opens up worlds of new creation
Amazing, no sound on this version, but still an amazing free offer!!!
I first heard of GeoShred through Rick Beato on YT. I downloaded this free version but was unsure how it worked since I’m very new to digital music interfacing. I emailed these guys and Pat Scandalis, who I believe helped create, this app replied to my email within a couple hours. He explained what I was and wasn’t getting with this free version very nicely and professionally, despite my obvious ignorance. after some research, I understand now how valuable this software is that I’m getting for free! This is a company and use people that are worth supporting five stars all the way.
I can’t believe this MPE controller is free!
this is old, get the new player, this is amazing

This doesn’t send Bluetooth midi to a Mac Studio.

Jan 8, 2025 - Oct 31, 2024 - We have been trying to reach you for over 2 months and we feel the information in your review is incorrect and the one-star review is unfair. We think that the issues you have encountered can be addressed in minutes and we have been offering a zoom call. support@moforte.com. We don't think you understand how to setup blutooth MIDI (BLE) on an iOS/iPadOS device. Please go to this application note "Application Note #35: Setting up BlueTooth (BLE) MIDI between an iOS/iPadOS device and a Mac" https://youtu.be/8l2Gwiynsf8 to see how this is done. Further you are incorrect that the GeoSWAM Instruments are locked to MPE. Look at this FAQ to see how to control the GeoSWAM Instruments from a Conventional MIDI controller or wind controller: https://www.moforte.com/geoShredAssets7000/help/FAQs/index.html#geoSwamUsageDomain It’s super ineffective to write a one star review about your misunderstandings when you can just reach out to us directly. We usually respond within minutes during working hours (Pacific time) and will often do zoom calls to assist. support@moforte.com
crash
Response from developer
Please reach out to us directly, support@moforte.com GeoShred Control is an AUv3 plugin and should not crash your DAW. Note that the major difference between AUv2 and Auv3 plugins is that the are not running in the DAW process space and if they die they should NOT crash the host. We would really like to solve this for you and the whole GeoShred Community. Pleach reach out to us at support@moforte.com
A wonderful and stable app and a fantastic support.
P.S. I use the pro upgrade of course.
Free version is too light
Response from developer
What the!!! What do you mean by "not enough freedom". It's a free MIDI/MPE controller. It costs nothing to try it. Frankly it's the most cost effective MPE controller on the market. The CTO at moForte is also the chair of the MIDI Association MPE Committee. MPE brought directly to you from the source! Why don't you reach out to us directly so that we can understand your concern. support@moforte.com . Alternatively you can purchase a Roli Seaboard or a LinnStrument. But mind you, those are not free.

Joey, you can use GeoShred Control to control iOS synths using either virtual MIDI or Auv3. To control a desktop synth look at this FAQ: https://www.moforte.com/geoShredAssets6500/help/FAQs/index.html#vst Your review is actually a customer support question. It would be better to ask us your question at the customer support contact support@moforte.com or in GeoShred Control go to "Menu> Help> Report a problem" Using a review for customer support is ineffective because we don't see the review for a few days, and you don't see our response for a few days. Further your one-star review for a customer support question EVEN BEFORE WE HAVE A CHANCE TO HELP YOU IS UNFAIR!. We ask you to work with us (support@moforte.com) and change your review.
Doesn’t connect to Windows
Response from developer
Hey Mark2bk, this is a request for technical support and does not deserve a one-star review. You can reach us for technical support at support@moforte.com or in GeoShred under "Menu> Help> Report a problem". With regard to how to connect to Windows, we have an FAQ about that: https://www.moforte.com/geoShredAssets6500/help/FAQs/index.html#vst Note that Windows does not natively support MIDI over USB.. Most users get a hardware interface from iConnectivity or iRig. Yes we are heard from some users that studiomux is no longer being supported. Please note that StudioMux is from a different company. There is nothing we can do if they decide to not support their product. It's totally unfair for you to give us a one-star review because of windows limitations. We ask that you reach out to us for customer support and remove your review. Ask for help first before shooting.
UI is nowhere near as fluid as it should be.
Sorry to devs but the whole set up of this in conjunction with the other instrument apps just seems like an attempt to charge as much as possible.
Overall not good value for money in comparison to older, more thoughtfully developed iOS programmes.
Response from developer
Hey Game|Boy ... "Not Good for the Money", what does that even mean? It's FREE! It's a FREE MPE/MIDI controller. It can function as a LinnStrument (NOT $1200 USD ) and the basic MIDI Out Control Preset is the same controller space as a Roli Seaboard (Not $800 USD) . Within the MIDI Association it's used as a reference for MPE implementations. Polyplayground is a very different concept, and you are correct, GeoShred Control is not Polyplayground, it's something different. It sounds like you approached it with a bunch of assumptions about what it YOU thought it SHOULD be, rather than what it is. You know what they say about when you assume ... If you wish to chat about this you can reach us directly at support@moforte.com. Please seek a refund for your FREE MPE Controller. Here is the URL where you can ask Apple for a refund. Goodby https://www.moforte.com/geoShredAssets6000/help/FAQs/index.html#refund.
