You need to get the gender right and learn it so as your German progresses you get the correct plural form adjective and case

It’s a great and effective method of making associations and expanding vocabulary it also has videos for learning the rules and articles but the sound button doesn’t seem to work so people might not know how to pronounce the words correctly but apart from that, I totally recommend this app.

Good app for learning the articles , bus the sound function is not working. Could you fix it please.

I am hearing the sound effects, but when I click the microphone button the words are not being read. This would be very helpful.

Not everyone learns the same way
So incredibly grateful to Michael for creating his program and this app. It’s about time there is a different way to learn German that works for those of us with visual brains. Thank you

I can tell that this app has potential to be great, but it doesn’t work right now. It doesn’t keep track of my score in the tutorial and it doesn’t ever review nouns or show them without the articles. It just shows you 1,700 nouns in a row without ever reviewing any of them.

This is exactly what I was hoping someone would make… I have such a hard time learning German noun genders, and it seems as if NO software or learning programs push this aspect of German hard enough. Without really having the noun genders down pat, it’s extremely difficult to learn new grammar rules. As an English speaker, I’ve had the whole “objects aren’t boys OR girls” thing drilled into my head since infancy, and having to learn noun genders seems extremely difficult for me. Anything like this helps immensely.

PLEASE FIX THIS APP SOON FROM THE RECENT UPDATE
Hello, similar to some of the other reviews I have been using this app for many months and loving it every step of the way. However, the latest update has very much diminished the experience for the following.
1.) The app is not reviewing any of the nouns. ONLY NEW WORDS ARE BEING SHOWN. Before the app would review a handful of the nouns and test you on their gender before showing new words. Now it is about 20 new words to 1 review word. It has made the app pretty useless because by the time an old word is reviewed several days later, if at all, I have completely forgotten the association.
2.) All my progress was deleted in the update. That was unfortunate, but not as disappointing as my first concern.
PLEASE FIX THE APP SOON, so that it reviews words in a similar fashion as before. Even better would be an option to go into a strictly review “mode” within the app that lets us only practice with words we previously learned.

What happened?
I’ve been using this app for a couple months to learn more noun genders with great success. I liked the methodology and the app itself. I was up to 1,200 nouns, but after the update two days ago my progress was erased (back down to 0 learned nouns) and the new nouns don’t come back up without the article to review. It’s just one new noun after another with their articles. I just did 50 new words in a row without one coming back up to test whether I remembered the gender. That makes the app completely useless.

Best German App for beginners
I am so so so excited !I have been searching for an app that can teach me the basic rule of learning the articles which has been my major challenge and I am glad I came across this very one .I did not have to pay any money to be able to download the application on iOS Facebook app.Thank you so very much for this great work.With this ,I can play the song on the articles while I go to bed .

Visual Memorization!
What an ingenious way to remember grammatical gender! If you’ve done research on memorization techniques you know that visualization is a very popular technique that memory masters use.This app uses those same principles. You’re given a noun and a picture to associate it with. If the person in the picture is a man the noun is masculine, if it’s a woman the noun is feminine, and if it’s a baby a noun is gender neutral. I am really enjoying this app.

I don’t know HOW it works but it does
What’s really cool about this app is that it’s teaching me to spot article signals even for words I don’t know, even with a very little bit of practice I’ve gotten consistent 80% correct. So rather than teaching me rote memorization it’s teaching me to spot the signals for article gender and then I only need to memorize the exceptions. Very well done.

Amazing concept, but just 70 words
The idea is great, and it really works. However there are only 70 (beautiful and funny) drawings to help memorizing the words. Unfortunately there haven’t been addition in the last years, so it’s likely there won’t be in the near future
Too Many English Words
This app is great for learning the genders of a number of German nouns, however too many of these nouns are germanized English words. The app should instead focus on the more commonly used synonyms of German origin.
Fantastic learning tool!
This app has been an excellent tool for me to learn vocabulary and article association! One thing I would like to see would be automatic flipping of the word to its translation after you’ve selected its article. I often forget to flip the card to check if I know the correct definition before selecting the article, and then the app moves on after I’ve selected it. I know I could just check it in a dictionary, but I get hooked on the app and don’t want to leave it just yet to do so! It’s a minor change, but I think it would help a lot. Thanks so much for a great learning tool!
