Both audio and support stopped working
Have used Gesso for a couple of years for guided walks created for charity. All the sudden the audio stopped working. Not just mine but on all tours. Contacted Gesso multiple times by email, chat and even their Instagram account where I can see it was read, but nobody responds. Until this is solved I can not recommend Gesso and urge you to find an alternative.

Great audio tour!
I was looking for a last-minute guided walking tour in New York City today but couldn’t find one. I decided to search for an audio tour instead. I came across Gesso and did the Greenwich Village tour. It was fantastic! I will definitely use Gesso again.

My only issue with this app is that there aren’t MORE audio tours.
There’s something special about walking somewhere, be it strolling over the Brooklyn bridge, or roaming around Florence and learning about the history of where you are.
It takes you back in time, you feel like you can understand the culture and community around you on a deeper level.
I referenced Brooklyn and Florence because they’re the only two I’ve been able to try! Hopefully there are more to come soon 😁

Fantastic walking tours
If you don’t want to join a traditional walking tour but still learn more about the place you’re visiting, this app is perfect for you. The walks are easy to follow and very detailed.. super interesting and informative. Fantastic!
Awesome tours in NYC
We brought our 15 year old son to New York, and opted to try the Gesso tours instead of a Hop On Hop Off which would have been several hundred $$$. We paired 2 sets of AirPods to one phone so we each had one ear phone, which worked well to hear the tour and talk to each other. We did the Rockefeller Center tour first, which is free, to try it out. Loved it so we also did Williamsburg and Punk & Poetry in the East Village. They were all great, love that they give you simple directions and it starts up when you are in the right location. Easy to stop and start, take it at your own pace. Highly recommended!!

Delightful audio guide to NYC
Ive lived in NYC 22 years and have never enjoyed a walk in prospect park like I did today. Great sound design, and historical facts. Looking forward to my next walk!

Flawless experience, great content
The app succeeds doing the 2 things it needs to do - First, it easily and correctly guides you, while providing clear walking instructions and seamless auto play. The app “gets out of the way” and allows you to simply follow the route and listen to the tour. Second, the tours themselves are great. I’ve done a couple around the New York area and they have a great balance of theme, random tidbits, landmarks, etc and are super fun.

I’ve taken two NYC tours — Soho and the East Village — and they were wondrous and riveting. This is an exciting new way to take an audio tour.

I was looking for a geo-tagged guided audio tour of Brooklyn and was thrilled to find this app. Walking directions were clear and the tour seamlessly synced to my location, so that if I wanted to linger in certain areas it would automatically wait for me to catch up before continuing. Tour itself was compelling and made me want to continue exploring! Excited to see more.

Great way to explore the city
Love to do the audio tours with Gesso. Just finished the Williamsburg walk and learned a lot about the area.
Wow! Rock Center tour was awesome
Just spent a few days in New York and unfortunately discovered this app on the last day. I wish I had known about it earlier. The Rock Center tour was incredible.
