As the world steps into the 4th Industrial Age, we envision a volatile, uncertain,complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world undergoing continuous disruptive changesdriven by digitalisation. Today, it is the responsibility of educators to preparestudents to embrace these challenges and thrive in the midst of unprecedentedtechnological advancements. English language competency is needed not only todo well in English as a subject and in general communication, but also in othersubjects taught in English at school, such as Mathematics, Sciences and SocialSciences. In an English medium school environment, majority of the inputs that astudent receives is from the teacher in the classroom or from text books, both ofwhich are in English. We need to ensure that students hone their Englishlanguage skills to be able to comprehend complete and accurate meaning of newterminology. It is equally important to confirm that students have gained adeeper understanding of subject content.
