About
Giggli scans the ingredient list on anything you eat or put on your skin —
food or cosmetics — and tells you plainly what's in it.
HOW IT WORKS
Snap a photo of an ingredient label, scan its barcode, or search an ingredient
by name. Giggli checks it against a curated database of ingredients worth
knowing about — flagged by severity, with a plain-language explanation of
what each one is and why it's there.
ONE APP, TWO CATEGORIES
Switch between Food and Beauty with one tap. Each has its own ingredient
database, its own filters, and its own history — scan a shampoo bottle, then
a snack bag, without mixing the two up. Scan a barcode from the wrong
category by mistake and Giggli automatically switches for you.
THREE WAYS TO SCAN
• Camera — photograph a label directly
• Gallery — pick a photo you already have
• Paste — copy an image from another app (WhatsApp, Safari, Photos) and
paste it straight in
• Barcode — scan the barcode for an instant lookup, no photo needed
BUILD YOUR OWN WATCHLIST
Add any ingredient you personally want flagged — build a Food list and a
Beauty list, and every future scan checks against them automatically.
FILTER FOR WHAT MATTERS TO YOU
Dietary preferences (vegetarian, vegan, alcohol, pork-derived, and more) for
food, and beauty-specific concerns (parabens, sulfates, silicones, pregnancy-
safe, and more) for cosmetics — plus allergen tracking across both.
SEARCH ANYTHING
Don't have the product in hand? Search any ingredient by name and see
whether it's flagged, how serious it is, and why — no scan needed.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
No account required. No ads. No tracking. Ingredient scanning happens on
your device. The only time Giggli talks to the internet is to look up a
barcode against Open Food Facts / Open Beauty Facts (open, crowdsourced
product databases) — nothing you scan is ever collected or sent anywhere
else.
WORKS IN YOUR LANGUAGE
Available in English, Spanish, Swedish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese,
Polish, Korean, Chinese, and Finnish.
Giggli isn't a substitute for medical or professional advice — if you have
an allergy, medical condition, or dietary restriction, talk to a qualified
health professional. It's a tool to help you read a label faster and
understand what you're looking at.
