Disappointed — Feels Misleading
I just paid around $35 CAD for this app, expecting to actually use the features I paid for. But after subscribing, it’s still asking me to pay more to top up credits just to continue using it.
What exactly did I pay $35 for? If the subscription doesn’t include enough credits to properly use the app, that should be made very clear before purchasing.
Very disappointing and feels like a money grab. I definitely would not have subscribed if I knew I’d immediately be asked to spend more.

I used to love this app, I paid for the yearly subscription and everything. I don’t know what the heck was done with it but now we also need to purchase credits?!!! That’s ridiculous, and defeats the purpose of having purchased the subscription. I wish I could have my money back for the rest of the year! What a waste!

Your Logo Is On My Video
I purchased a subscription and it came out with your GIO VIDEO logo on it at th bottom right corner. What’s the point if it’s not going to look professional? I like the video but the big logo is a turn off. Yes I was logged into my paid account. I want a refund if this can’t be resolved.

The AI-generated photos didn't look like me at all.
Even more disappointing, there was no guidance on how to improve the results. If the uploaded photos aren't suitable, users should be told why and how to get better outcomes not left paying for a service that doesn't deliver.

Don't forget to cancel your free trial if you don't want it to become a paid subscription.
Also, make sure you check your Junk/Spam folder. My subscription confirmation email went there, so I never saw it and didn't realise the trial had automatically converted into a paid subscription.
Although I explained that this was an honest mistake, Gio still chose to keep the charge. They did cancel my subscription to prevent future renewals, but they refused to refund the first payment.
Hopefully this helps someone avoid the same experience.

a total scam
Basically, I paid for the “subscription” but the paid subscription doesn’t allow me to do anything because I have to keep paying more if I want to edit any photo. I wonder how they justify these extra charges !

Total rip off. Charged not only the $6.93 advertised but also an additional $32 before I ever even tried to use the app. Thieves!

It’s not as advertised and once you purchase, you still have to buy credits to do anything! Bought for my business and completely not worth it. My avatar looked unnatural and creepy with the photo I uploaded.
Do not fall for this scam
Look elsewhere. The pricing model is very misleading. You subscribe, you pay and then after 4 or 5 photos it tells you that your weekly limit is reached. You want more photos or videos, pay again. What a scam. For the developers, please don’t try to safe your face by providing a scam comments to the reviews. It is making you look even worse. People, please do not sign up for this app, you will be disappointed. This App will go out of the business in a span of a year. Do not waste your time, money and energy.

Total scam, you get almost nothing for the money you pay. You can create max 3 videos for your weekly usage!!

I purchased this app because I was under the impression that I could use my actual voice in video recordings. That is not the case, and they do not offer refunds no matter how dissatisfied you are! I created a video and was subject to the pre-recorded voices that they offered, which did not match my personality, my style, my look or anything. I reached out to them requesting a refund and was denied. Be careful if you purchase from them. I don’t want you to be misled like I was with no recourse.

Cancelation is difficult
This app, for some reason Access’s payment and renewal of credits outside of the Apple Store subscriptions and does not show up as depicted in their policy. Not happy I am worried at this point I will not be able to cancel credits renewal
