Scammy

It’s advertised as being similar to Duolingo however, the most appealing factor of Duolingo is that it’s free to use while this will charge you 70 bucks and there’s no way to get around it or continue with the supposed free trial. Not worth your time downloading.

Scam

Debit my account without my permission and refused to give me my money.

Hope it works

Just now starting it and it looks promising

Gleam review

I’m a real person btw. Gleam is an amazing app, I learned a lot just from one lesson. This app also resembles Duolingo in a way but the paywall makes it different from Duolingo. You have to pay for the subscription to the app to use it past your first module which I think is unfair to people who really want to learn and get better social skills.

Social intelligence is 70 dollars a year?

What a dumb idea. The app developers really said huh I know a great way to get money I’ll make people pay for some Ai to rant about the same things over again. You cannot be more dumb there’s no way people have actually listened to this. Go hug a tree

Interesting Lessons

I am usually skeptical of fads and especially things with AI art. But the lessons have been nice and the experience has been a pleasant surprise. I have gotten to where I even look forward to the next day to do another lesson (since I use the free version).

I don't know why everyone is hating.

It's a really good app it makes you feel very confident and it actually helps. if your to poor to pay $70 a year then idk that's crazy there is also a deal happening right now that is 50% off so now it's $35. also it's like duolingo you have a specific amount of energy so yes it is free you just have to keep coming back to the app every day for a streak. Also people have been telling me that right after the survey it sent them right to the paying page, and then they didn't do anything and just deleted it. You have to close the tab and then just go right back to the app and boom you can start!

So far, so good

Trying to do better

Why is this a subscription

There are so many apps like this but this one has to be paid???????

Paywall

I cant even move on to the second spot because its trying to get me to but premium its crazy that its a free app that wont even allow the people who don’t wanna pay a chance to use it worse yet the videos advertising it are completely false and just trying to get people to download it, it even makes you submit reviews before you even get to try the app do not download a complete waste of storage i wouldn’t be surprised if most of the reviews are botted i don’t even leave reviews on apps but this one is just so bad i have to

Dismal Revamp

Strange and drastic overhaul. Full of ai illustrations. The change made it feel off-putting to use, it was better prior.

Heard a story in TikTok and it inspired me

I needed confidence and it seems this is perfect. Just 10 minutes a day does the job

Not what it’s advertised to do

It claims to be “Duolingo but for social skills” but a better analogy is more that it’s a social skills textbook.

There are a few interactive questions at the end of each lesson, but this is not nearly enough to meaningfully practice the skills that this app is trying to teach. It’s like if you were to *read about* math without doing practice problems and then expect to have learned math.

I was hoping for actual simulated conversations where you could practice speaking face to face and apply what you’ve been learning. Until that happens, having to pay a subscription for essentially a textbook with a few MCQ’s is not worth it

Make it cheaper

I am not paying 40 dollars for a month make it 1 dollar ever month or free then I will consider

Good

Good

Manipulative

Pretends to be free then an instant paywall, how we gonna trust you to teach socializing when you lie immediately. Welp maybe that’s the ultimate lesson in this culture. Lie and get money.

Scam

Apps a scam free trial only renews for a whole year and if you try to cancel it doesn’t let you

Changed me within try/trial period

Changed me even I canceled within try/trial period

$70 a year

Just letting everyone know. It is $70 a year, or $5.83 a month. You don't find this out until answering questions and can't use the services without putting in payment information. I don't know if this would work or not. But I don't have money to spare so not for me. All the 5 star reviews that said it was free must be paid or something.
