Glitchforge: Datamosh Studio

Glitchforge is a video glitch studio that runs on your iPhone. Load a clip, stack effects, and it re-renders the whole video on the phone. Nothing is uploaded. Most glitch apps paint effects on top of the picture. Glitchforge edits the compressed video itself: the motion vectors, the coefficients, and the quantizers inside the H.264, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 stream. This reaches glitches a pixel filter cannot make. Datamosh: motion comes unstuck from the picture, so one shot melts into the next and frames bleed together. Scrambled coefficients: blocks tear and smear. Warped blocks and posterization: the compression math itself becomes the effect. It also does the effects you already know. VHS and analog: tracking noise, color bleed, the worn-tape look. Bloom, ghosting, and channel desync. Pixel sort: pixels dragged into long streaks of color. About thirty effects, across the codec, frame, pixel, and analog families. Load a clip. Build a chain and reorder it. Turn each effect's settings and watch the picture change. Scrub to any frame and save it, or export the whole clip. There is no account and no server. Your footage is processed on the phone and stays there. It works with no connection.
