Please update for 2026
It works fine on iOS so far as of this post on June 9 2026. However it's no longer working on older android devices. I will probably guess it doesn't work for android anymore in general since Pokemon go made changes to detect 3rd party accessories. :(

Devices are garbage
I love the convenience of playing with auto catchers. Closest i get to playing a lot and can farm the data. Has gotten me many a shiny.
The con of the devices is that they are garbage. One in five might work as advertised. And your waisting money trying to get one that works. I hate the new one as it is a down grade from the original. The pro is better connectivity at the cost of cheapness and the battery life. You are lucky if you can get one that lasts longer than 2 months. I started repairing my own to extend battery life and even swapped the battery for a better one. Thats compatible. Niantic has nerfed all the fun in the game and this is the closest i get to playing a lot. My job does not let me take community day off so this plays for me. Never missed one since.
Filing an ftc complaint abt these things being garbage and your company refuses to allow consumers to enact the one yr warenty.

Gotcha rip
It worked beautifully for a little over a month. I’ve asked for a refund or replace but no response.
Connect on iPhone
Recently I have struggled to connect the watch to go-tcha app but I think I found a trick to make it work. If connecting fails go to iPhone setting/bluetooth/Pokémon go plus/forget device. Once it is removed go into the go-techs app and click connect. Pair the device and the setting pop up. Hope this helps some people.
