I have used this service since I moved to London 7 years ago. The service is very convenient for me (a senior) and they offer senior rates. Some of their vehicles have very poor suspension and the drivers drive way too fast. All gas & brake!

Do not use to pre-book
Having to catch a train the next morning, I thought I’d use this app to book a car ahead of time. Very bad idea.
I called to confirm the car 10 minutes before the scheduled pick up. My booking was confirmed but I was informed on the phone that there wasn’t a car available to pick me up for at least 20 minutes *after* my scheduled time. I had to cancel and scramble to find a ride as this new time would cause me to miss my train.
There was zero proactive communication from Checker to tell me they didn’t have a car. Had I not called ahead of time I would have been screwed. If you’re going to allow pre-booking, figure out the logistics before subjecting your customers to this incredibly poor service.
