Bugs Galore

Conceptually, cool but a lot of bugs that make it frustrating to use. Connection requests don’t clear, it continuously sends them if you “ignore” them and if you try to “ignore and block” they’re stuck in both the block and the request section.

a real hassle

if its going to keep logging me out, then im not asking for “admin approval” every time. i shouldnt be having to email anyone over and over just to use this. its just a huge chore, this app

Fun concept but very glitchy app

Honestly it’s a cool concept but the app doesn’t work half the time. I can’t even click the log in button it doesn’t do anything. I just keep getting emails about my connections but can’t even log in lol

Awesome app for connecting prospective students

As an international student, this app helps you meet with people from your country and other countries too who are going for the same course as you. It feels good to make friends even before arriving your campus.

You also get links to other resourceful informations. I totally love it.

App now requires new OS

Many students on older phones won’t be using this app any more. Started groups and kept them active, now locked out thanks to a required update. Discord and other apps are far more active anyway.

Connecting

This site has been wonderful to help me connect with a range of students, before I arrive as an international PG student in September. It also has lots of information about getting started at TCD.

A big plus is the ease of starting up Goin’ subgroups to include students for where you’re living, your course, similar interests etc.

I actually have people who I feel confident to contact when I arrive.

Best app to connect with students

Well, i have been using this since yesterday, i can say it is best thing i have ever seen like students can make friends before arriving university. Also it helps to get lots of information about games, accommodation, party etc.

Lot of rooms for improvement

Some basic functionalities are surprisingly missing. For example, when you connect with people, the app doesn’t tell you who accepted your invitation to connect. It only says the number of connections you have. Even if click on that, it won’t open or give any details. What’s the point of connecting then? That and a few other annoyances. App can be improved!
