About

Compare golden light, blue light or above-horizon solar windows across two to four saved locations on the same local calendar date. HOW IT WORKS 1. Save locations with their coordinates and time zones, then open Compare. 2. Choose a local calendar date and light band. Select two to four locations and calculate. 3. Review the windows in each location’s time zone, then save or share the frozen comparison. Today, plans, locations, AR sky, eclipses, planets, exposure and field tools remain available in five tabs. Solar direction, civil-date handling near the date line and daylight-saving arc lengths are corrected. WHAT TO KNOW Golden light uses geometric solar elevations from -4 to +6 degrees; blue light uses -6 to -4 degrees. Results are astronomical estimates, not weather forecasts. Terrain, buildings, cloud cover and atmospheric refraction are excluded. Daylight-saving dates can contain 23 or 25 hours. Locations use their own local date, not a shared UTC instant. iPhone and iPad.
