About

Three rounds in, you have a number. Twenty rounds in, you have the same number a club would calculate — best 8 of your last 20, from real slope and rating. This app is the engine behind that number, for golfers who do not carry an official handicap. HOW THE MATH WORKS 1. You log a round: the course, 9 or 18 holes, and your score — a single total, or hole by hole. 2. Each round becomes a score differential: (113 ÷ slope) × (adjusted gross − course rating). The course's real slope and rating come from your course book; a sensible default covers casual rounds. 3. Your index estimate is the average of the best 8 of your last 20 differentials, rounded down to one decimal. With fewer than 20 rounds, the built-in small-sample table takes over — from 3 rounds (best 1, minus 2.0) all the way up. 4. Hole-by-hole entry applies the net double bogey cap automatically — one blow-up hole stops poisoning your number, exactly as the standard system intends. AT THE COURSE • Course handicap: pick a course and see how many strokes you get there — index × (slope ÷ 113) + (rating − par). • The projection slider answers the question you actually ask on the first tee: if I shoot 92 today, what happens to my index? Often the honest answer is "nothing — only your best 8 count", and seeing that changes how you play. • Two 9-hole rounds pair automatically into one 18-hole score; a waiting nine is flagged until its partner arrives. KEEP YOURSELF HONEST • A 20-box strip shows exactly which rounds are in the window and which 8 are counting. Nothing hidden, no black box. • An optional conditions adjustment for days when the weather made every score ugly. • Trends: week streak, your last-5 average, rounds this month, courses played, and a monthly calendar. • Daily, weekly and monthly challenges, plus 92 badges for the habits that lower a number: playing often, logging hole by hole, pairing your nines. WHAT IT IS — AND IS NOT Every number in this app is an estimate for personal tracking, built with the same public math the official system uses. It is not an official handicap, it is not affiliated with any golf federation, and it cannot be used to enter competitions. If you need an official index, your club or national association provides one; if you want to know your number and watch it fall, this is the tool. Your rounds stay on your device. No account, no GPS tracking, works offline in the middle of the back nine. SUBSCRIPTION Golf Index Pro is offered as a monthly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of that period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
