About
Your Handicap Index, worked out the way your federation works it out. And your game, hole by hole.
IT WORKS IN EVERY COUNTRY THE WHS REACHES
The World Handicap System is used in more than a hundred countries, and this app applies its official calculation in full: the average of the best 8 differentials of the last 20, soft cap and hard cap, the exceptional score reduction, the Low Handicap Index over 365 days. No local variant, no approximation.
UNIVERSAL USE: THREE NUMBERS ARE ENOUGH
Wherever you play, all you need is par, Course Rating and Slope, printed on every scorecard in the world: you enter them by hand in ten seconds, and the courses you play most often you save under a name of your own. The 220 Italian clubs are already included, with the data of every set of tees. It all works with no connection.
HOW MANY STROKES DO I GET ON THIS COURSE
Pick the club, the course and the colour of the tees — or give the numbers yourself — and the app works out your course handicap with the official formula, HI × Slope / 113 + (CR − Par).
YOUR GAME, HOLE BY HOLE
In the Course tab you record the round as you play it, in two ways. Competition: strokes, putts, tee shot and penalties, a few taps per hole, without holding anyone up. Practice: shot by shot — where you play from, the club, how it went against the target, the mistake if there was one, and where the ball ends up.
Out of it come the real numbers: greens in regulation, fairways hit, putts per round, scrambling and up-and-down, sand saves, penalties, and how you score with woods, long irons, mid irons, short irons and wedges — so you know if the problem is the drive or the fifteen yards. After each shot you can tap a face for how you felt.
You read them over several rounds at once — last 10, last month, three months, this year, all — or over the rounds you pick. While a round is open no statistics are shown: Rule 4.3 allows you to record data during a round, not to analyse it before the round ends.
THE COURSE PARS, ONCE AND FOR ALL
Map the pars hole by hole and give the map a name: it comes back on your next round there, you can copy it onto another course, rename it, delete it. Write it at home with the scorecard in hand, and correct it mid-round too: the strokes you already wrote stay, and the results are recomputed.
PAIRS AND TEAM COMPETITIONS
Pick the form of play and the app works out everyone's handicap: four-ball better ball, foursomes, greensomes, scrambles from 2 to 5 players, and match play with the strokes given. Every player can start from different tees. The allowances are the official ones, and every one can be changed.
WHAT WILL MY HANDICAP BE AFTER THE ROUND
Enter your Stableford points and you know at once how your Handicap Index will move, without waiting for the next day.
PLAY THE ROUND BEFORE YOU PLAY IT
The Challenge tab tells you, before you set off, what score you need to come down, to stay where you are, and below which threshold you go back up.
SEE WHERE THE NUMBER COMES FROM
The panel "The calculation" opens every step: the sum of the eight, the division, the rounding, the adjustments.
AND ALSO
— 9-hole and 18-hole rounds, with the expected differential for the nine
— Put a round on hold and resume it whenever you like; edit it after saving too
— Export your rounds as JSON or as a CSV table, to analyse them where you like
— Drafts: prepare a competition beforehand, confirm it afterwards
— An archive by year, your best ever, and the run of each season
— A backup file, so changing phone loses nothing
WHAT STAYS FREE, ALWAYS
The handicap calculation, the strokes you receive, your record and the backup will never carry a price: they are the app, not an accessory.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
No account, no sign-up, no server. Everything on the phone.
NOTE
The figure worked out here is a prediction: the official one can differ slightly if a PCC adjustment is applied, which is only known after the competition. The app says so on every result.
