Got to be the BEST!

This app…at this price…for a premium app is amazing. It does everything that the higher tiered apps will do and more you can even post your USGA GHIN scores that keeps/uodates your Handicap right through the app. Amazing job GolfPad team. Keep up the good work. PS- This is NOT a paid advertisement… it’s a true assessment of the app, and I’ve tried them all. Get it and you won’t be disappointed.

Best golf app - I’ve used them all

Like the title says, I’ve downloaded and paid for all the popular golf apps over the years. Golf Pad is by far the best. It’s accurate, works on my Apple Watch. My favorite things about the app: being able to export the raw data into a csv file. I’m a data guy so being able to play with my own data however I want is awesome. If you don’t care for that, the stats already provided are more super useful. The thing that keeps me on this app as opposed to a competitor, is is UX/UI. It’s simple and straight forward on the phone and on the watch. This is so important to me during a round, the less “clicks”, button, screens, menus, the better. No need for fancy graphics. GHIN connections is also very useful. No more entering my score on a different app to track my official world handicap.

Great Easy app

What an easy to use. Golfing buddy told me about it. Been using it for two years now.

I sold my rangefinder I could never get that thing to work well.

no matter where you’re standing on the course this app shows you the yardage to the front of the Green middle and back. All I need

Deal Breaker

GolfPad Review:

I started using GolfPad when it first came out. I really liked it as it gave basic distances—front, middle, back of green—and kept score easily but for only one person. Then it added scoring for up to 4 people, and over time eventually the geeks took over, changing the interface and adding bells and whistles endlessly. It became quite frustrating when I didn’t play golf from November to April to be on the course for a new year and not be able to figure out all the changes while trying to play a round of golf. I eventually gave up on it about a year ago, but have not been able to find a simple, basic golf app, while most want a subscription to get endless bells and whistles that have little to do with playing golf, like posting photos, sharing online, etc.

So, I recently decided to give GolfPad another go. I also purchased an Apple Watch 11 in January, and with the other apps I’d tried, it was convenient to have distances on my wrist. So, when I set up GolfPad, started a round and discovered I could not use it on my watch without granting access to my Health App. Now, this an true deal breaker! Why on earth would I share sensitive medical information with a gold app? It could at least be optional for those who maybe don’t even use Health, but for me at age 74, Health stores all my prescription drug information and a multitude of health data that is protected under HIPPA laws. Should have thought that one through folks.

So, still looking for a simple, basic distance and score keeping golf app. Or, waiting for GolfPad to realize the error of their ways.

Bad update

Since the update it skips ahead a hole and Is the most annoying thing while your playing

Great App

I have used this app for a few years and it is great! Easy to use and accurate. I recently had an issue as my course switched the front and back nines. After this it wouldn’t automatically post the score to GHIN. I contacted them and received a response within one day on how to resolve the issue. It was a very easy fix. Good customer service is rarely found but theirs was great.

Easy to use!

I’ve been using this for 3 weeks. Our club has changed front & back so the GHIN GPS isn’t working. My friend told me about this app and I love it. Gives you front, middle & back distance free. The GHIN app doesn’t do this unless you pay $49.99. This app premium is $29.99 and with that you can post your score directly to GHIN.

Absolutely love this app!

Lady Golfer

I’ve used Golf Pad for several years. My son told me about it. It’s great! Really helpful on any course I play. Got notified I haven’t used it in past 60 days but that’s because I had shoulder problems and then surgery. I will be back on the course very soon. Thanks to Golf Pad for making shots easier.

Easy start

This is the golf app I do not get lost in. I can score with it and use other features one at a time, which I will do.

Great app

Totally satisfied

Love golf pad

Recently, starting this past week , i keep getting the message that the App has crashed. And while there is screen lit, nothing works.
The message also asks what function was i doing when it crashed.
It does not allow time to explain that i was only trying to keep score.
I have always been so pleased with GolfPad and am still playing the same course.

Good app

Works well simple to use.

Love it!

The free version is good. The premium version is even better. The only improvement I see is a handicap estimator feature. I frequently play with people who have skycaddies and my measurements through Golfpad are just as good as theirs or better. I would never pay so much to have a skycaddie when I have this app. I'm able to get through a whole round without worrying about my battery running out. My favorite part is the club tracker feature and how you can map out a round as you're playing. Also if you need to edit a position after having already finished the round you can get on the in the map view. Great app, great value, all I need to get are the Golf Tags!

2024 update: been using this app since 2013 and love it. The GolfPad team continually make meaningful updates and are very responsive to customer service outreaches. I’ve reached out about courses not being on the app or being named something different (generally club ownership change and course name change) and those changes are usually implemented! Keep up the great work! Won’t use another rangefinder app!!

Best golf app

This is hands down the best golf gps app. Easy to use and tons of data to analyze. Other apps are way too complicated when you’re playing golf. This makes each shot super easy to track!

Top App!

Ich bin begeistert von der App, funktioniert tadellos, auch in Kombination mit der Apple Watch!
Hilfreich wäre ggfs auch ein „deutsches Sprachpaket“

Response from developer

We truly appreciate the fantastic review! It means a lot to our small team, and we’re so glad Golf Pad is helping your game. Questions or suggestions are always welcome at support@golfpadgps.com.

Clubs

I believe this app could do with some tweaks in the club area. I want to be able to put my carry distance down for each club, so that when I’m playing a round it can suggest the correct club based on my carry distance. The app is really good, but I think this addition would take it up a notch more so and help towards a lot of people’s games.

Poor communication

I’ve been a premium subscriber for a long time and they basically ghosted me the second that I asked how long it would be until the premium feature show back up after the most recent update. They should’ve at least given me a timeline or re-launch the previous update so that our Apple Watch is still worked on the course which is a premium feature. I’m now
Looking for a different golf app with premium features. The least you could’ve done was responded to my last two emails. I don’t know if your programmer took off the last few days after they did the update, but this is unacceptable.

Edit: you had a KNOWN issue losing the watch feature for premium users that happened with a recent update. There’s a new update that’s a supposed to have fixed it, I will know tomorrow
