Served a great purpose until ads dominated app

This was a great free app for me but sadly I have had to delete the app from my iPhone. This is because as I have opened the app adverts have popped up which I am unable to get rid of without turning my phone off and then back on to finally rid myself of the advert.

Upgrade issue

It is driving me mad having to click off the upgrade option every time i use the app, i can't find a way to turn off the reminders but really don't want to upgrade

Great App

Very nice user friendly golf app and syncs with my Iwatch

Frustrated

After almost two years of using the app I’m giving the low rating for the following reasons: 1) Overall consistency. Sometimes the app will tell me to use LW when I’m 200yards out 2) It does not take slope into consideration. 3) The app recently started to ask where the Pin placement was causing unnecessary adjustments on Apple Watch 4) Shot tracking seems to work about 60% of the time….5) The illustration for the fairway and green are only so so…would much prefer the actual satellite version so u can see where the cart path, fairways, swamps actual come into play. My son and son-in-law both use 18 Birdies and they swear by it…gonna ride it out until my subscription runs out but likely gonna change at the end of the season.

Best

This is hands down the best app available for golf. Easy to use and smooth functions!!

Top notch product

I’ve been a very long-term user of Golfshot and it has met all of my expectations. There have been a couple times when I’ve pointed out an issue and their team took longer than I expected to fix it but they always fixed them eventually. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a golf app.

Go to golf app

Golfshot has become my go-to golf app. The GPS distances are consistently accurate, and the automatic shot tracking with the Apple Watch works extremely well. I also love that it tracks putt distances, which has been a huge help in analyzing and improving my game.

It also does a great job tracking active calories, which is a nice bonus. My only suggestion for improvement is better integration with Apple Fitness by accurately tracking exercise minutes during a round. If that were added, the app would be nearly perfect.

Overall, an outstanding golf app that I highly recommend to anyone looking for accurate GPS, detailed shot tracking, and great Apple Watch integration.

Long time user becoming frustrated with the app

I have used this app for over 10 years. Upgraded to the yearly version for Apple Watch compatibility features. Was genuinely happy with the app until this past year. It drains my battery barely lasting 18 holes even though I have followed all the directions to save battery life. Never had this problem until this year. The auto tracking has become intermittent. Some times not working during a round. Just played today and no shots were tracked. It claims to now track putts but that does not work either. Also stopped suggesting clubs. Played last week and although some shots were tracked when I went to enter my score I had to enter the club, the direction and it would default to 2 hots and one putt (I wish this were true). Becoming less of something I refer to consistently during a round. Whatever was done to the app sucks and none of the updates have “fixed” anything. I am on version 4.85 and the App Store says I am up to date.

Issues since latest update

Since the latest app update I have noticed when reviewing a round that my Apple Watch has tracked phantom shots that I didn’t make. Could possibly be practice swings but the app didn’t do this as frequently before. I have also noticed that there is no longer a screen shot at the end the round available that shows playing partners overall score figure as well as your own. Not only shows subscribers score and card.

Very buggy today

Keeps losing signal and very difficult to stay signed in. Error message saying unable to verify and when it works very slow.

Auto Shot

I usually give this 5 stars because I really enjoy using Golfshot but I still can’t figure out how to use Auto Shot.

Swing Detection Fails

Since the last update swing detection (Apple Watch 10) misses the majority of shots. Hence shot tracking does not work either. Distances are still fine but you can get this feature on many apps that do not require a subscription.

Good round

Very accurate helps me with yardage. I don’t have to pull out any of my other gear.

Terrible app

Great if you like your yardage to be off by up to 20y. Reviews were so good. Padded I suppose, or hackers that can’t tell the difference between the actual yardage and what it says. Even the phone and watch weren’t matching yardage. Unfortunate.

Great App - Great Support

The course maps & distances are quite accurate, including distance to and over hazards. The tracked shots feature is great and allows me to track the increase in the distance of my drives (along with other shots). It’s showing me data-driven progress. Additionally, I had a club in my bag that was not included in the app. I reached out to support (was helped by Elena), and within one day the club was available for me to select in the app.

So far so good!

I just purchased the app and am pleased so far. I was able pretty easily to set up my present clubs and shot distances in the app. Excited to start using the app when I play soon!!

Perfect

Distance is very accurate

Nickel and Dime

Long story short. I was an early adopter. Paid for all the premium features and even the companion augmented reality app. One time fee. Yet they still paywall everything. Not spending another dime.

Fun course

Green are perfect two years in a row. Props to the maintenance team! Good lay out ..You’ll use most of your clubs in your bag.

Last Update

I’ve been using Golfshot for 10 years. This year, for some reason, my Apple Watch is not picking up my swings. Seems to have happened once the App started automatically calculating putting distances. Can this be fixed?
