Meal time bible

My daily prayer book

Good Food App

My go to for simple recipes you can rely on

Food glorious food

Great inspiration for meal planning and quick meal ideas. All year round recipes and feast days, holiday foods, you can’t go wrong. I highly recommend

Great for quick meal ideas

I have found this app so useful when I’m meal planning for the week or just after some new ideas. The only way it could be improved is if you could add 3 key ingredients and then recipes pop up with those in them, the search only really works with one ingredient

Unable to log in on app

I’ve paid for this app for a few months and still unable to login after I changed phones.

Search function is very poor.

I was looking for recipes based around quinoa in the app. Nothing came up, but when I used Google search it brought up a quinoa salad recipe from Good Food. Very frustrating!

Good Food

Fantastic recipes. Whatever good you decide to cook. You can find a tasty recipe to help. Whatever level you’re at . 5 star Good Food

Paid Rubbish

Downloaded with the assumption that accessing recipes I can view for free on the Good Food website would also be free. I was wrong.

Making people fund an app that has no additional content to the site you already run funded by the British people’s money is ridiculous. Do better.

Makes cooking easier

Love the app, easy to follow and lots of inspiration.

Looking for meal inspiration?….

Look no further than Good Food. You can search by your fridge ingredients, or look at the monthly trends. I have found loads of ideas and encourage you to do so too!

Good food

The best app ever

Inspired a farmer type with about 3 minutes to spare to cook

It's great! Really easy, simple and motivated me to cook something different other than the same three meals I normally have! Non of the ads or stupid promoting that other sites have

Pointless app

This is a very pointless app, you have to pay for a subscription rather than get it all for free on the website, don’t waste your time downloading it as you can’t view the recipes unless you pay

Fudge for Wedding

I was about to give up after 2 failed attempts, decided to try a different recipe success, haven’t burnt it, looks like it’s going to set.
I times the recipe by 4 hoping that will be enough. I don’t won’t to made anymore for awhile, I know where to come if I do. Thanks

Unusable & hidden fees!

You can download the app and search for recipes but you can’t actually look at the recipe without paying for a subscription!!! For a recipe that you can view in the browser without having to pay!!! What is the point in offering an app that paywalls something that’s free online? Makes absolutely no sense! I understand having the subscription for extra features and even having some premium recipes locked but not being able to see basic information for recipes that are free online and suggest you use the app is a capitalist con. If you are looking for a handy app to find and read recipes this is not it!!! Just use the website on your phone or tablet browser. Absolute waste of storage!

Won’t let me log in

When I go to sign into app, when I click continue after filling in my log in and password, nothing happens. Logged in through the website and it’s ok there.

Unbelievable

All I wanted was a quick pizza recipe, so I go to google, as one would, and click on the first link. There it is. Good food. They tell me to download the app, normally I wouldn’t bother. But I thought meh let’s give it a go. I download the app, create an account it tells me I have to subscribe. I say no thank you. I search for the recipe where lo and behold I have to subscribe to actually read it. When I can get it on google for free.
The audacity is actually astounding.
Don’t bother with the app. Just google it. For free.

Worth every penny

Like it said in the title worthevery penny.

Disappointing shift to subscription

Really disappointed to see this app move behind a paywall. It was a great, useful tool when it was free, but now it’s just another app demanding a monthly/yearly subscription. It’s a shame to see yet another utility follow this trend. Won't be subscribing.

Response from developer

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry for any confusion around the subscription model. The app offers many benefits including exclusive recipes and handy tools to make cooking with the app as enjoyable as possible. If you do not want to subscribe, you can still find great recipes on our website. Best regards, The Good Food Team

Hidden behind a paywall- Don’t bother trying it

Downloaded the app as I use the website a lot for meal ideas. It’s incredibly frustrating that you think it’s ok to charge people for an app when the information is already available for free on your website. I wouldn’t have minded if you had actually stated somewhere on the website links that a subscription was required to do more than search for recipes. If you had made it clear about the subscription, I wouldn’t have wasted my time downloading it and getting frustrated while making dinner.
