Some possible fixes

Great idea love the app I’m new, but I did notice there is something that should get fixed in the app. Some of the rewards, keys, ect.. are in people houses, backyards, and lawns. I don’t think it’s ideal to possibly jump over walls and fence or to trust pass into people property to retrieve these. It would be better if they were retrievable by being on the side walks and neighborhood street or at parks. I also saw some in the middle of the intersection that is very very busy and that’s crazy.

Real fun until the update

Ever since the update that introduced the storyline the walking portion has been buggy. Twice in a row I’ve gone on an hour long walk then when I finished it said my hunt couldn’t be saved.

So awesome until the developers tanked it

This quickly became my most favorite app to jumpstart my fitness (there is a BUT further along in this review). It doesn’t track steps taken in place at a gym or imported from other devices, you have to be outside using GPS and the app, but that’s what made it fun. It got me out in the sun and challenged me to deviate my course each day to ensure maximum treasure hunting opportunities. It was a simple game and whilst in the midst of a “hunt” you could not access other features of the game so it really focused you to be present and enjoying your time outdoors. The discord community was friendly and motivating, and the weekly and monthly challenges kept me focused on my goals.

THEN…. The developers lost their marbles. Starting mid November 2024, the app changed significantly and now has the emphasis placed on building up a farming town. You could use your energy to still take a walk and focus on fitness, but that same energy is also now needed to build stupid buildings and farm stupid crops. It went from a unique fitness app to another crappy farmville copycat. I don’t wanna spend that much time staring at my phone, scrolling through dialogue, and upgrading buildings just so that I can get to the point where I get to take a walk. Sadly, it seems the developers are insistent upon merging their version of Farmville with what was once one of the best fitness apps out there.

Won’t let me build me avatar

I’m trying to play on IPhone 11 with IOS 18.2 and the app won’t let me create an avatar. I get as far as the selection screen but I can select any of the skin colors, eyes, ears etc. other buttons are clickable and clicking save results in a never ending loading screen.

I’m pretty bummed as I really wanted to try out the game. Hopefully whatever this bug is will be fixed soon and I can give y’all a real review.

Actual review and update since v3

Putting the original below but this top bit is from the update today. Cant call this a fitness app anymore when the energy you use for walks is spent easily and quickly on fixing up an island so its become another clicker game. Yet to actually see if the island has any benifits as even following the “story” you need to do the same task twice which takes 10 minutes and I have tried and yes you can try and jump ahead and do other stuff but no it wont count or tell you what anything means. Nothing is clear anymore, everything is constantly being moved around with every update and I think the only things they have listened to us giving feedback on in the discord is that we hated opening capsules one at a time. The odds of them are now even worse and even the basic things like finding where to change your clothes wasn’t explained easily so previous “players” will get lost, hope its explained more for new people.

They have removed weekly quests (which they did part way through them I would like to add) for this island tasks which only seem to give benifits for the island and tbh at this point I dont get the island. As I explained to the mods it feels like two apps combined now and it doesnt work. I hope the devs actually see this as im sorry I get what you were trying to do but it doesnt work. Honestly if its not sorted properly in a few weeks I am leaving the app.

Original review
Its a good app and got me walking again. The weekly challenges and monthly goals are great and love trying to be in the too 10 world wide. They are constantly updating the app and if you join the discord they take every single bit of the users criticisms and ideas on board as well as discord challenges like irl dress up like your avatar competitions or finding things irl on your hunts and sending in photos for in game rewards. I love how connected we are on the discord and all pushing each other to improve. Do I wish the app had the discord chat built in yes and no. I have this and so does my daughter and honestly if it had a chat option I wouldnt let her use it as you never know with online people plus lets be honest having ingame chat increases the age rating for a game and I wouldnt feel comfortable with going against that. Honestly great app
