I have been playing soccer again for the first time and years and I’ve been loving it, even started organizing the teams to try and keep things balanced, and most of the time to guys are very open to balancing out teams and switching around players mid game.

My experience with GoodRec has been nothing but awesome. I have been able to get back into soccer, and it is helping me stay fit!! UI is clean and it is very informative for directions to fields for games. Also very easy to learn how to host, which i plan on doing. Thanks!!

App isnt good for area pickups. when games get cancelled they dont refund ur money they give u game credit. which is absolutely crazy to me considering all the other apps dont do this. ive used this a couple times n its hard to find games n they get cancelled alot. id suggest u guys using different apps like plei.

Bad Organizer Ruined the Entire Game Experience
I attended the 7:50 PM soccer game in Point Loma on July 14, 2026, organized by Matt F., and I feel this needs to be addressed.
The teams were once again extremely unbalanced. Most of the strongest players were placed on the same team, making the game frustrating and unfair from the very beginning. This has happened multiple times with this organizer.
The match stopped being enjoyable, several players left early, and tensions rose to the point where arguments broke out. I joined expecting a friendly recreational game, but instead left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable.
GoodRec should ensure that organizers create balanced teams and a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of skill level. I hope this organizer is reviewed, appropriate action is taken, and player feedback is taken seriously. I also believe a refund for this event would be appropriate given the poor experience.

This isn’t the first time. Every time I join one of his games, he builds extremely unbalanced teams by putting most of the advanced players on one side while the weaker players end up on the other. Instead of a fun, recreational match, the game becomes completely one-sided from the start.
Several players left early because of how unfair the game was, including me. Arguments broke out, the atmosphere became very tense, and I was genuinely concerned the situation could turn into a physical fight. No one should feel unsafe or uncomfortable at a recreational sports event.
People use GoodRec to have fun, meet others, and enjoy fair games. Organizers should be creating balanced teams and a positive environment—not prioritizing winning over everyone’s experience.
I hope GoodRec investigates this organizer, takes appropriate action, improves organizer oversight, and gives more weight to player feedback. I also requested a refund because the experience I paid for was not the experience that was delivered.

There is always games available, I ve been using it since Jan 26 and I try to join at least once a week.
