Blessed to be there
I had the privilege of providing life saving CPR. I was only aware of the situation by the Responder App.

End of the day it’s someone’s loved one , It’s hard but well worth it.
First aid help GB
I think GoodSam is an absolutely amazing initiative which should be rolled out right across Australia, if someone is in the position to help someone else out maybe on the worst day of their lives and help them in a situation where it could be life or death then I am privileged to be that person. I’d love to see more people sign up to this

What a shame that you never ever get any calls.
I used to respond daily to GP surgery referrals and social care responses.
But, never ever CPR or Cardiac Arrests.
Trained and carry a Defibrillator & First Responder kit.

Revolutionary!
That being said, it would be great to get information on what I’m showing up too, anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, symptoms, etc. if there is anyone there and what dangers await? I was sent to a person having anaphylaxis and they had been waiting an hour for an ambulance. Since it didn’t say what I was responding too, I did not have an EpiPen on me. Let alone almost 50% of people don’t carry an epipen or it is expired from many years prior. There should be more information and support for Responders. That being said Identification as well. Like an ID card as I’ve helped Police numerous times and to them you just look like a regular person.

Impactful
Easy to use, we all need people on their for our friends and family. I’ve been to a few events and helped out
Phenomenal service
I am so pleased that this app, together with training from SWAST, means that my fellow CFRs and I can offer 24/7 coverage in our rural area for the most serious incidents.
Keeps flipping me out.
Every time I go into this app to try and register, I get halfway through and it flicks me out. It doesn’t store the information I have already provided, I have to start from scratch. Therefore, I just haven’t.
Does not work
App does not work. Will not allow me to login after providing all details. What is the point of an app to find life saving equipment in which you are required to have a lengthy login process that doesn’t actually work. Time waster and dangerous in a real life resuscitation event
CarPlay
Would good if you could accept the call on CarPlay. Instead of going on to the phone when driving
Difficult
This App would work alot better if it was easier to use. It is obviously fine when playing on it, but when it actually goes off, its an emergency situation, adrenaline is pumping, and this app is difficult!
When i am stood down, there is no alert, the map just disappears. There is no option to say i have arrived, so the siren continues to go off while im doing chest compressions, which is annoying.
Also, 80% of the time, it wont alert me until the 2min mark and then is quickly sent to next responder!

Needs option to set availability hours
A life-saving app! To be more user friendly, I would love an option to set availability/unavailability automatically. Either by marking yourself unavailable for next 8/10/12 hours and the app automatically turns it back on after the timer is done, or being able to put in your own hourly available periods for the week. If you’re marking yourself unavailable every time you go to work it’s easy to forget to turn it back on again!

Amazing product and initiative
This app undoubtedly saves lives, I’ve personally responded to 3 called in the 2 years I’ve had the app and thankfully only 1 of them I was needed there and did CPR. If you have your certificate and are willing to help, this app can help you be a life saver in your local community sign up
A friend in need
The App is great. I would recommend it show the incident more clearly and bolder for respondents to notice. Also should have a map once accepted the job. Like a live view to the incident. Also if the Good Sam members be given some kind of sticker or lights. This is because respondents get stuck at the traffic lights, this could be a matter of life or death. Just something to consider.

Duty times
Needs an option to set on duty hours, as I don’t wish to respond overnight I’m going to have to remember to go off duty every bedtime
Not getting alerts?
I have tried many times to test the simulation alarm but having tried everything suggested I’m about to give up. We live in a rural place. This would be an invaluable service if I could get it to work! What’s the best way to contact you?
Notifications
The app needs to alert you if you’ve been stood down whilst en route instead of the job just disappearing
No organisations in Melbourne, Vic, Australia?
Why are there no No organisations in Melbourne, Vic, Australia?
Great idea!! Few tweaks required.
Adding a ‘did not attend’ button to the report form would be helpful. The current fields are required but aren’t relevant if you don’t attend the call.
Pop up info from 000 call taker to allow responder to know what they’re going into. Eg potential needles in vicinity.
Not sure if it was a setting on my phone, but today was the first call where the app loudly announced me to stand down. Great to see this feature.
