Disappointed to say the least
I hate using this calendar it’s by far one of the worst calendar apps I’ve ever used. You would assume a calendar app is pretty simple and that it’s hard to go wrong with a calendar app yet Google somehow manages it. I hate that you can’t turn an event into a task and vice versa. I also hate that I can’t remove a calendar from my list if it’s been I was the owner of the shared calendar. I should be able to create a calendar and unsubscribe from it. Also there aren’t enough features for me to fully customize it to my needs. I just want to be able to make several variants of events and name them instead of having all event under a calendar just show up as an event with the title. I want to be able to use it for school so my lectures can be one type of event, and due dates be another type of event or to add tasks to an event ugh! The other calendar apps I have used are simple enough to understand yet can be taken further through customization and that’s what Google Calendar is missing.

Latest update: BOOO!
Since the latest update, event colors no longer sync on my iPhone 17 Pro Max; they’re now all the same color on the phone & don’t at all resemble the Google Calendar setup on my MacBook. I’ve tried the dev suggestions to no avail. Boo! Used to love this app. Please fix!
Unintuitive
I hate that the months swipe left to right rather than up and down. Not intuitive or how the majority of other calendars work.
Widgets and MacBook app
Love the calendar so so much but would love larger widgets for the Home Screen and a proper MacBook app
Would be awesome if…
I love using Google Calendar, but not being able to change colours (I like using custom colours instead of the default ones.) of my calendars in the app is really annoying. I have to delete the app and then go into it through an old version on my search engine to make a new calendar or change the colours of them. Secondly it doesn’t look the same between the two versions the one online looks brighter and less dull. The app itself does what I need it to do but my brain needs the colours to be happy.

Love BUT
I live by mi Google Calendar and love basically everything… except the new update hides the name of the month in all views. And it’s very irritating to now have to tap twice to search or go to today. Please revert back to how it’s shown in the app preview photos!!

Icon is displaying wrong
The app is good but you ignore feedback that the iPhone icon displays as 31 every day of the month
Used to be 5 stars!
But all of a sudden tasks and events are missing. Have rebooted and turned iPhone 16 off and on. Checked all settings. What the heck happened and how do I fix it?

When colors are changed for events they’re not properly synced up to other devices
Good but needs 2 critical updates
Love this app but it’s frustrating to have to open it to see today’s date. Seems a simple fix to have the date reflected on the app icon.
Also wish I could enter precise times from mobile vs defaulting to 5 minute increments instead of having to go to desktop to accomplish that.
These two fixes would make this a 5 star app!

Worse and worse
Every time this app updates the quality of life features disappear. Now it defaults to “day” view instead of “schedule”? It doesn’t even show what time things start! Useless
Reoccurring events bug
Since one of the last updates reoccurring events from synced iCloud accounts aren’t working as excepted. With reoccurring events in a Google Calendar, clicking an an event occurrence brings up that specific day and I can choose to delete that single instance. With a reoccurring event with an iCloud calendar, clicking on the specific event brings up the ORIGINAL event and day and I can’t delete the selected occurrence. Please fix

Suggsetion for icon
Icon should show the last date of the month, like 31 in august, 30 in june and 28in feb etc.
No month info on week view
Whilst the monthly view has been fixed to show the month, the week view still does not display the month the dates correspond to.
New app appearance
I hate the new app appearance - it doesn’t stick out and I can never find it on my phone
Everything’s from births to deaths, appointments with the doctor or podiatry
I find this app handy for remindingof appointments. I use it daily
