What more can I say, compared to hangouts this app is awful. Crashes all the time, fails to send pictures and videos. Would give it 0 stars if I could
Persistent battery issues
I love the app and have been using it for years. However, it’s absolutely killing my battery on the latest iOS versions. I found that by deleting and reinstalling, it’s again fine for some amount of time, but when I notice my phone running very hot doing nothing and check back again… I see that it’s constantly running while backgrounded. Rinse and repeated for multiple iterations. I’ve never had this issue with the other mobile platform, and it has been occurring here for me for months. Any suggestions to help would be appreciated, and I’ll happily revise my review if this is resolved.

Subtle bad things
Hard to get on a call I wish it ring like a real texting app did. But also sometimes it doesn’t load very fast. I don’t like the new logo it is so bad.

I really wanted to text my friends I had an iPad but my friends had a Samsung then one day I found this app on my App Store recommended then I downloaded it as the best app that changed my life because I was able to text my friends now and make a space I found can be in a group group chat with in owner iMessage need to improve 1 thing there must be a owner not everyone should have equal power but anyways the best ap ever thank you so much

Update missing call options
Updated app and lost ability to call /set up meets in chats :(
Notifications is buggy
Frequently not getting the notifications badges. I won’t know that I’ve been messaged. Comes and goes. And I shouldn’t have continuously toggle settings and clear cache to get it working. In addition, I wouldn’t even know that it’s not working until I realize I’ve missed messages from friends. Terrible.

Moved here from Skype and there’s no “last seen” option, so that sucks.
Also, give us some emoticons please. The emoji’s are boring. If I kiss someone that’s far away, I want them to see/feel the kiss! Skype emoticons were awesome, can we get something like that?

bug when uploading pics
please fix this issue its highly annoying, cannot send more than 6 pictures at once without the app crashing

Why the heck is it so big? Otherwise, decent but really not better than just using chat in the Gmail app.
Constantly Crashes
For my work group chart we swapped from WhatsApp to Google Chat. I often have to send many images at once and on WhatsApp I could send 30 at once with no trouble and it would go through instantly.On google chat the app crashes if I try to send more then 10, and then I can’t even open the chat anymore as it will instantly crash and I have to delete and redownload the app.
