The addition of Labs and Bard is a home run
I always enjoy the convenience of using Google Docs to create letters and memos. The addition of Labs and Bard is outstanding. I find adding photo images of scanning documents or photos from my Pixel 7 Pro brings more life to my documents. I throughly love keeping my digital journal. I just discovered a template called Daily Journal in Evernote as a companion to my Kerouac Journal in Google docs which provides attachments in Google calendar. Update in 2026 the use of Docs with Notebook LM has helped my freedom of expression and creating an advocacy megaphone. August 5 2026 the inclusion of AI into Google Docs makes the system more robust.

Easy Access for creating communication
Amazing system to. Correspond, plan and execute open documents of communication!
Terrible!
I am FED UP with the lousy interface where I can’t go back to the same page after a few hours—and sometimes only a few minutes. And sometimes, out of nowhere, when I DO want to go back to the very beginning, it goes back to the other page I left.
Footnote for IPad & phones
Works wonderfully, but not being able to do footnotes and change first page to a different would be GREAT if it would work on IPad. It’s the only thing I use Google doc on and I’m doing and really large project I’ve pushed myself to commit too.

Cada que creo un documento de google para poner imagenes ligeritas (fotos de hojas de practicas de la universidad) quiero convertirlo a pdf pero no puedo, por que no carga el documento, no cargan las imagenes y siempre pasa, cada vez que que creo documentos para eso siempre tarda en carhar y hoy es primera vez que tarda 30 minutos y todavia y no… no tengo mal internet, pero es súper frustrante perder 30 minutos por esta tontera

Keep getting text with markup from Gemini and have to convert
The last thing I want to do is to start getting text documents given to me in markup and then have to be told that I have to do something to them to convert them into a nice readable PDF. That’s above my pay grade. And I don’t know why that happens. Gemini should know better than to give me stuff and Mark up. I finally got Gemini to clean it up for me, but it took hours to finally get to that point where it offered.

Great product that is used for n a variable number in f ways
No way to search
First of all if you want to search for things you have to use the search and replace feature which has ended with me replacing every instance of “e” with blank space, so that’s unfortunate. But more than that, on a doc larger than 30 pages trying to search anything will just crash the app
