. I accidentally bought a TCL TV, I was in a hurry and didn’t notice it was a Google TV. OK my fault. But, you can’t use this TV as a regular TV without signing in with a Google account. Come on. Does this company really have to stick its fingers into every single part of our lives like this? And no, I can’t take the TV back , I’m setting it up in a short-term rental and it just had to get it installed and up and running. Now it’s too late. Now I have to through making new accounts and go through other extraordinary measures to hide my privacy from all the different people who will be staying at the place. And no, you can’t just sign out of your account because then it just resets the whole TV. Just disgusting and annoying. Whatever you do, do not buy a TV that says “Google TV“. All I wanted was a freaking TV.

Paid content unavailable
I purchase series and often seasons or episodes are locked even though I paid for them. Searched online for assistance, big waste of time because I still can’t unlock the episodes.

the remote absolutely sucks, doesn't respond half the time and when you leave the app it's just frozen

Remote bugs out and disappears every 2 seconds and take about 20 times disconnecting and closing app and retrying to even use it for maybe 30 seconds

Tried to use this to replace my tv remote. only got it for the remote function for my TV. Barely works always says play something from your library to use the remote stupidest thing ever. Wish I could give it fewer than one star. Absolute garbage app.

This app crashed more than it works. My Google home remote stopped working so it thought this was a better option. Absolutely not.

Missing Cursor Support
Connected to my TCL Google TV easily, but the app is very limited. It only works as a basic D-pad remote and doesn’t support moving the on-screen cursor or blue pointer that’s required on some apps and pop-ups. That makes it impossible to interact with certain screens. If you have a Google TV that uses a cursor, this app may not be enough. Disappointing.

Remote removal
This app has become useless after removing the option to use remote control options and keyboard input.
Very Bad
I only got this app because they removed the add to watchlist button from Google Search. Very annoying. New shows are slow to appear, and the search is terrible. When it knows what I’m typing, it offers to search for “movies like x” instead of letting me go to the movie I’m looking for
fix ur app
fix ur remote stuff cause its not even allowing me to use the remote on my phone and when it actually pops up it just disappears and im jus not allowed to use my remote on here
Very slow
My google tv device almost always never shows up, so I’m just sitting on my couch waiting for nothing.
Google tv remote
I only use this app for a remote for my google tv. Works well but there is a constant bug. When I leave the app it seems to think the swipe to home means a movement on the remote. Which makes the remote go to the left corner every time either causing media controls to pop up or the media I’ve been playing to restart. Not aggravating just annoying. Otherwise the remote works well.

Works sometimes
This app is the only remote i have for my tv and it works, just not all the time. My bf and i both have the app and when it’s not working for one of us typically it works for the other. Unfortunately for me he’s at work and my app isn’t working, so i don’t get to watch tv until he gets home. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.

Remote issue.
I use this app because I lost my tv remote. Google tv on a Phillips. When using the app, the remote icon only shows up half the time. I have to open and close the app many times to get the remote icon to show up. It’s so frustrating. Please fix! It’s driving me crazy!
Remote no longer showing
It was great… until it wasn’t. Now that the only useful feature on this app no longer works, there’s no point in using it.
