App Does Not Work
Refuses to sync to my smart thermo-hygrometer despite being right next to each other, tried removing phone case & restarting phone to no avail.

The Govee app is easily the worst Smart Control app I have ever used. I purchased 2 Govee RGBW Lights to replace my previous brand that has since been discontinued. This app is the most annoying, counter intuitive control app I have ever used. There is no way to change the speed of color change on pre set scenes or ones you create. Have to jump through 20 different menus just to change a few settings. Absolute garbage.

Poorly designed, barely functional
Govee’s lamps are great and affordable (thanks to de facto indentured Chinese servants), but this app is the worst. Of course, they make you create an account for no reason (Matic has proved that you don’t need an account to use a smart device), and then force a bizarrely convoluted design on you that doesn’t work half the time. On the UX/UI side, our friends in China are still decades behind.

6th product - app won't find it
NewestTV lights. Trying to pair. Nothing shows. Turn Bluetooth and network on and off. Nothing. Another govee lamp shows in app but won't change from red.

Barely Functional
Good luck doing much more than turning your lights on and off with the app. Support is no help either.
One of the worst UI
Of all the smart home apps this is by far the most frustrating apps to use from an UX perspective. It’s not easy to find things like group devices and setting them on a timer. You shouldn’t have to dig and click 5 different menus to do that. The color temperature bar is completely unintuitive and doesn’t match the actual colors.

Whenever i dont use the app for even just a day it takes both my lights and i have to add them completely over again. Its really annoying

Gets worse every time I open it
I got smart lights. I want to turn them on and off with my phone. You know what this app sucks at? Just controlling to damn lights. Instead they put screen after screen of “join the insider club” for lights? Be a light insider? You know what a cool feature would be? If the timer worked so I didn’t have to reset it every couple days. Maybe do that and I will get into being a light insider.

This light product is nothing but worthless trash that flashes at the wrong times without reason. Garbage.
Easy to use
Useful for my Govee collection, from outdoor lights, bulbs and even water sensors.
Takes up so much storage!
The app is fine but it definitely does not need 600mb, please fix this.
