Your location is only shared when team tracking is enabled within the app. When tracking is ON, your location is sent to the server and shared with your team members, even when the app is in the background. When tracking is OFF, your location data remains on your device and is not shared.
Yes, you can set a team member as a target to navigate towards them. The app will display a line indicating the course to take, even if the member is moving. You can also show your own course line by holding your finger on the map.
You can set up alerts for team members entering or leaving defined polygonal or circular zones. Additionally, alerts can be configured for a member's speed falling below or exceeding a certain threshold, and for the distance between you and team members.
No, members are invited using a simple code, and no registration or sign-up is required for them to join a team. This makes it easy to quickly get groups coordinated.
When team tracking is OFF, the app consumes minimal battery as it's removed from memory when not visible. When tracking is ON, it uses GPS and sends data continuously, leading to higher battery consumption. Users can adjust the synchronization interval to save battery.
The free version limits the number of team members, the maximum number of zones/overlays to two, and the synchronization interval to 5 seconds or slower. GPS Beacon history is also limited to 4 hours.
The PRO Pack subscription removes limits on member and zone counts, allows synchronization frequency of up to 1 per second, and provides full GPS Beacon history. It is available for $1.99 per month.
GPS Team 55 is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices. It has an age rating of 4+.
