Struggling with it
There seems to be an issue producing a good iPad native app for Bluesky and for a long time this felt like one of the better ones but it kept logging me out which was a nuisance.
More recently it has started taking me back to the top of the feed after I open every post, image or try to reply/respond. It stops me wanting to interact because I’ll lose my place.
My Feeds button is hard to see in dark mode. There is a button to open a menu on the left, but this appears to have a few icons and no words. If you are good at hieroglyphs you’ll do fine.
Promises so much and delivers none of it.

Dead App
I used to really love this app when it first came out because it was the only way you could actually access the app on an iPad. The fact that blue sky has now been out for almost 3 years and still hasn’t developed or made any progress towards making the official app available in the iPad is just lazy and disrespectful to the clientele. This app became completely unusable in my opinion once they started rolling out censorship and only allowing you to see one adult content at a time before the feed will glitch out and hide what you’re looking at. Now I can’t even save a simple photo of a cat drawing without it telling me that I don’t have the right permissions. Re-downloading the app changes nothing at all, very sad to see Twitter regain all the people who tried to jump ship to something else reliable. Fix Bluesky NOW

Really good, only things missing are saving posts and the ability to remove the ‘(tabs)’ text at the top
Good, still needs work
It’s made some progress since I last tried it. Way better than Blue Sky’s own app on iPad. Doesn’t animate gifs in the app, opens them in browser instead. I’ll try it again in 6 months. Unable to log in now I’ve moved to Eurosky.
Totally broken. No feeds.
App should be OK but just doesn’t work. Biggest issue is no feeds are brought in from Bluesky. Tried log in/out, tried “de-pin/re-pin” feeds on Bluesky per some suggestion. Nothing works. Also couldn’t get to profile setitngs at one point without a force close & re-open. Also changing iPad from landscape to portrait caused screen rendering to get totally borked.

Pleasant,but significant bug
I have a notification badge,but that page doesn't refresh in the app. Don't know what it's about, the screen is just black on that tab.
Broken since iOS 26 upgrade
Desperately needs an upgrade. It used to work okay, but since the upgrade I have a blank white screen for the Notifications and Profile tabs. Yes, I deleted and reinstalled. I would really love to be able to switch accounts but I think that’s probably too much to ask.

Maybe there’s an update that needs to happen because it’s not working for IOS 26.1
Completely broken
The app just doesn’t work anymore. Every tab is blank
80% broken
Search, Post, Notifications, and Profile don’t work at all… just empty screens. You can scroll a feed and reply and that’s it.

Broken or Slow Notification Tab
Please fix this in the next update and do not abandon it because I just recently installed this app about two days ago and I thought that I was going to work like the blue sky app on my phone but nope, it’s not well. I can still see the people I follow but the notifications they do not show me them. They’re just slow loading so please fix it. Get your pets out of your butt and please fix this issue please I do not want to abandon this and just only do it on my phone, I want to be able to be doing it on my iPad as well so take this into account. Do not ignore it just like many other selfish greedy companies. I know you wanted to make an alternative to the dying, tying X so please fix this issue. Please do not ignore it. Do not run away or look away from it.

Stopped Working
was working great. one day I opened the app and all the tabs other than the default feeds tab show black screens and all functionality had completely disappeared. :/
no DMs.
This is my favorite bksy client so far but without DMs I don’t know if people are messaging me on other clients… not sure if this is an inherent issue or a lack of feature
Please add the option for pds other than Bluesky’s
It’s a nice client but not being able to change the pds address makes it unusable for me.
App is no longer working
App hasn’t worked in months. All tabs show blank screens with no data after logging in. Ended up uninstalling.
Broken, blank feeds
It’s random, sometimes a feed view displays, most of the time it’s blank. Not sure what update, ios26 or this app broke things. Also profile and notifications are blank.

Don’t bother until it’s fixed. Plenty of black screens with no buttons or way out short of force quitting
No private messages
i use this for the in-app translation, but if you wanna access your private messages you have to use the real bluesky app
