Not Functional

Doesn’t work…? You click the app and it opens to a page that says “please wait…” and the waiting is stagnant / never ends. I have the new iPhone … not sure why this would be happening

You could have emailed support instead of writing this review! But anyway, this is due to a bad Wi-Fi connection or it’s a normal delay the first time the app is opened. If you wait about 20 seconds it WILL load.

We usually see this happen when someone has a bad Wi-Fi connection - I’d try again when you have a better one. Just wait about 20 seconds the first time you open the app.

Increased my GRE score

I used this app for about 4 months before my GRE in 2022. This made studying enjoyable, and my score improved significantly!

In my four years of experience this is always a Wi-Fi issue - try with a strong Wi-Fi connection.

Charged without permission

I just tried to download it and it charged me right away without asking! My question is, was the charge one time or will it charge me again in coming months?

Never loaded

Maybe someone could help me?? My app never loaded… when I try to open it it just says please wait… I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling. And it cost money so I’m a little annoyed!!

Good not great

Biggest issue is that the guidance on a problem is not helpful. It doesn’t explain the solution in sufficient detail.

No Cross-Device Support

Math was always my weak point, so I’m glad something like this exists. However, I’m not happy that there’s no way to save my progress across devices. I would love to be able to practice on my phone as well as my iPad, but it seems that progress is saved per device. Hopefully that update is in the works.

Sadly, we probably won't be able to provide cross-device support in the near future. I don't have active devs, so all updates will be batched for when I do. Glad you like the app and thanks for helping defend our kingdom!

Pretty good

Very helpful to practice and stay motivated. Can be a bit buggy at times (I’ve had to restart a lesson because it got stuck at the end) I also wish the “scrolls” were available all the time.

Incredible GRE help

The Math Knight app has really helped me solidify my core quant skills for the GRE. It is so helpful to have a fun way to do drills on all of the topics. The game is seamless and actually pretty fun! This greatly helped my GRE practicing. Thank you Vince for making this and sharing with the world!

Amazing game, good visual and sounds. Would suggest that it might be more interesting if the quests were timed, that would encourage the user to think for answers in a timed situation, similar to the real test. Thanks

Keeps You Focused on GRE

I have been studying for the GRE for a long time now - needless to say, it can be frustrating not being having adequate time for hobbies (i.e. play video games). Because of that, this game is AWESOME - not only is it engaging, but it keeps you motivated to keep studying and learn key concepts. Even though studying can seem boring sometimes, this game definitely alleviates some of that pain.

The concepts and explanations for problems are spelled-out clearly - so it’s easy to understand where your strengths and weaknesses are. However, to my knowledge, there doesn’t seem to be a setting where the problems are timed - which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you want to practice. Moreover, it seems that if you have to leave a certain section during a level, you must pause or you lose your progress during that section. Nevertheless, this is a free game, it is amazing so far, and the perks definitely outweigh any cons encountered thus far. Kuddos and good luck!
