Can’t connect-crashes
Paid to have the thermostat installed only to have the app crash every time I try to connect it.

I can’t add my device the app just crashes everytime. Even deleting and re-downloading the app it won’t let me add a device
App doesn’t work
Can’t even add my device. It’s been connected before. Stopped working and says the thermostat is not connected to WiFi but when I try to connect it back to WiFi give app closes on its own. I removed it to try to re-add it and still the same thing app just closes on it own when attempting to add a device.

Terrible
Absolutely awful app. When you go to register your device the app just crashes. Support is no help. This issue has been going on for at least a couple of years and they just refuse to fix it 👍
Needs an update for system issues and dated layout.
had the app for 4 years no problems at all untill recently my thermostat disconnected from WiFi and wouldn’t reconnect. Tried deleting the thermostat from the app and re adding it but now since I deleted when I go to select what thermostat I have it force closes the app Everytime no matter what. Tired deleting the app and reinstalling, still has the same issues so now I’m unable to control my thermostat.

App no longer is updated
I’m trying to get my thermostat to reconnect to the app and ultimately google assistant. We updated our wifi and needed to change it. I didn’t think to unlink devices because usually there is a way to reset them to connect again. Not for the thermostat. Before it had been fine, but now the app force closes when I try to add a device. Also does to my husband’s phone too (both IOS).

Whats the point of having smart lights with an app that you cant download on iOS. Are we not good enough? Or maybe we should create a petition to get back those government funds since you guys give these out for free

Unable to edit schedule or delete schedule can’t turn heat over 70 and we have -25 right now this is complete crap! If it wasn’t so cold I would switch thermostats right now! Thanks for nothing. Waste of money
App wouldn’t connect
App would not connect with G2 thermostat using an iPhone. Tried with tablet and still didn’t work. Technically support is the only reason I’m not giving this a 1 star. Dave was helpful but didn’t have a solution and is sending me a new device.

Need I say more, horrible! The app and the Lux thermostat! I have nothing positive to include.
Will not connect
Thermostat appears to connect to WiFi, but after that the app is done. It will not continue with the installation. No one answers the support line. “Smart” thermostat is dumb without connection. Useless, returning it.
I wish I could give it a zero!
Only works with 2.4ghz. If you have a dual band does not work.
App needs work
No update in months. Still have same issues. Color scheme is not always legible. Filter reminder is nice except for the fact you can’t tell the app you replaced it! There isn’t a “hold” temp, there is a Pause schedule and Schedule off. Pause schedule acts like it works and alerts you to the cost increase or decrease but no longer actually adjusts the temp.

Poor UI
Due to an update, I can no longer temporarily adjust the temperature; I have to turn the schedule off; otherwise, it just drops heat to 68. So, I then have to remember to turn schedule back on later. I also cannot figure out how to contact developer, so I’m writing this review in hopes they see it. I also wish that I could temporarily adjust temp and not have to select a time duration for that change; that it would just adjust for the schedule time period.

Had previous version by lux app worked perfect this new updated one is pure garbage please bring back old one
Crappy update!!
This app is terrible. The old app worked great. We never had any trouble with a schedule or changing the temperature. Now we can’t do anything with it. I guess we will replace the thermostat! It’s all trash now!! I don’t even want to give one star!!
Poor update
Never had an issue with the old app, with the new update I can’t even turn my heat past 60 degrees. The dial is terrible and layout of app is very bad. Highly unsatisfied.
Totally Fu%&ed Up My Thermostat
The old app worked fine and NOTHING was wrong. Now I have no way of connecting to my thermostat since it does not appear in your list. THANKS FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. You forced me to get rid of my old app which worked perfectly. Stupid corps think they make things better when the old app was perfectly fine. EVIL EVIL EVIL. I would give this ZERO stars if I could

Give me my old app back
Why is it everything has to change. Why can’t Programers leave well enough alone. I had no problem with the old app. It’s not like we look at it everyday and play with it. I like to set it and forget.
Now we have to learn a new one. I’m pretty tech savvy but why make a new one. It just turns the furnace off and on.
I will say it does a great job doing that and maintaining temp. But that’s all it needs to do.
