Half-baked attempt at filling a hole in the market

Unfortunately, this looks like an AI-slop, vibe-coded mess.
There are only starters for a player pool so there’s no depth to trade from or for (which I assume is because NFL stats were run though an AI for “ratings” and it can’t guess at ratings for players without stats). Weekly goals are random with no control over reaching them which leads to a cycle of winning and earning scouting points or losing and struggling to keep up. There also isn’t any way in-game to see what is happening or what happened. There aren’t even 4 downs, you’ll regularly see one play and then a random punt. There are clear logic issues where Makai Lemonn (sic) was a free agent despite just being drafted. Free agents are effectively a single blind bid, so if you don’t win them, there aren’t any backup players to replace holes in a roster because of the lack of player pool. Just go buy Retro Bowl

Response from developer

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy! The rosters are actually the most challenging part of this... I want each player rating to feel close to real as possible (and it is manual, not AI).. so it takes time to add full rosters. I am working on the backups right now - full rosters in a recent update. Great calls on weekly goals. Will make these more customized to your team's makeup in a future update. The in-game sim is just meant to show key notes of the actual games, but it would be good to turn on a mode that shows all four downs and every single drive in detail. The contracts i have auto generated and will also be fixing in an upcoming update. I appreciate your thoughts and will keep working to make this a game you enjoy!

This app is a blast!

Gridiron GM is an incredible game. It’s built out so intuitively that anyone can easily navigate, and I’ve really been enjoying playing. I’ve also found that the dev takes our feedback very seriously and have seen awesome improvements over the past few days!

Great Game

Super Clean UI, runs smooth, fast paced football sim with tons of tools to lose hours in.

Best NFL Simulator Ever

Easily one of the most immersive sports simulation games I’ve played. It captures the experience of running a professional football franchise remarkably well, with meaningful decisions and impressive depth throughout. The attention to detail is exceptional, and it’s clear the developers invested a great deal of care into creating an authentic management experience.

Seriously Addicting

Finally a football sim that nails the GM side. Scouting the draft, running my depth chart, and game play are really well done. The player management goes deep enough to feel real without being overly complicated. I haven’t been able to put it down. If you love franchise mode in Madden but wish it were the whole game, this is it. Highly recommend.
