I liked it until
I had to login which I don’t think you should have to do every time. I couldn’t remember my password so I tried to reset it. It required a secret code that I didn’t know. Tried to reregister and of course I already have an account.
I’m grieving. I don’t need this frustration so I deleted it. Too bad because it was nice.

Great daily support
Since our devastating loss, this app has provided us daily messages and thoughts of support and ways to help navigate our grief journey. It has been a significant help to us!!! Thanks Reid 💔
Comforting and supportive app
At a time when I have been feeling deep grief I have found this app to be of much comfort. Reid is very insightful and I find the daily intentions helpful and meaningful. Of course nothing will take away the pain of losing a loved one. I listen to certain podcasts that speak to me over again. It would likely be of more benefit to pay for the daily meditations but I have not done so as yet.

Better than others
No judgment. Just a wonderful quiet respectful place to honor your grief. I’ve tried other grief apps but this one allows you your grief. Has a place for expression, for refuge, for sacred space and an understanding as to how to help create a place of your own sacred space. Soft encouraging messages and a soft podcast of reinforcement. I found it to actual renourish my soul. Thank you for this app, brother.

Good, but…
Good app with well-rounded suite of resources. Professional and relevant. For me the content is too general, as only interested in specific type of grief and this is a generalist app. Don’t use some of the options. Not right for me at this time.
Grief Refuge
I use this app daily & find it to be a great resource on my grief journey. Reid always has something helpful to ponder. The music along with his narrative is soothing.
Thank you for the reminder notifications
I really enjoy listening to the daily reflections and REALLY appreciate the app notification when the new one come out.
As a person that stays busy (my favorite go to grief avoidance coping mechanism 😬) it is wonderful to get a reminder to just stop, take a breath, and spend time each day string with myself. It’s

Grief refuge app
This app has helped me so much I even recommend it to several people. I lost my mom recently from a long battle to cancer. Sometimes I’m not sure how to verbalize what is happening with me and I listen to the daily wisdom and it helps to explain that what I’m feeling is normal. Highly recommend this app.

Wonderful resource!
I use and recommend this app for many of the bereaved clients I work with!
Way too costly for a young widow with kids
It’s 11.99/month and they don’t tell you that until after you give them your email.
It’s 2022, there’s no reason why you can’t make this more accessible
This app, like many others of its kind, has absolutely no option for caption on the recordings. How is that useful to people who are deaf or HOH? Thank you for making an app to help people with the loss of their loved ones but you should have captions on your recordings. Had to uninstall this within minutes of downloading it because I can’t use it due to no captions.

Honest & Truthful - Recommended
Since a recent bereavement I’ve read a lot of books and articles, and listened to a fair few podcasts on grief. I’ve also tried several apps. This is the best by far, which I’m basing on the podcasts, primarily. Reid Peterson is thoughtful, kind and has ideas to make things more bearable. His experiences and accounts really resonate. Also, it’s good to hear a podcast focused on different aspects of grief - there are quite a few podcasts where people talk to celebrities about death and while there is a place for that, this to me is much more helpful.
I’m only using the free resources, but they’ve really made me feel less alone - which is a win from me. I think this app could be of real help to many people struggling with how overwhelming grief is.

So supportive
Reid provides a really supportive, informative and soothing message. His podcasts and daily messages are helping myself and my wife deal with the tragic loss of our son. His approach is sincere and the most authentic voice we are listening to. We are so grateful.
Private, prolific support
Love this app! Whatever you’re feeling in the moment- there’s a tool or talk to meet your needs. The author’s messages are soothing and healing. Recommended to therapy clients for customized relief related to grief.
Sanctuary from distress
Coping with the loss of a loved one can be messy and painful. This process is not something that can be done intellectually.
This lovely app provides hope in the face of hopelessness.
Providing short reflections on places that we all find ourselves in the process of mourning: loneliness, fatigue, the loss of our previous self world, Grief Refuge is a comforting balm for an aching heart. The author’s soothing voice guides us on inner inquiries and the podcast episodes include discussions with leading writers on navigating this process.
We come away from every session the better for having listened.

Grief companion in my pocket 24/7
I've really enjoyed using the Grief Refuge App over the last couple of months. It truly is like having a grief companion in my pocket 24/7. I love that the Grief Refuge podcast is integrated into the app for easy access. The Journaling function, Intention Exercises and My Grief Journey features make the app interactive and interesting. They help me to gauge my emotions daily which give me a tangible sense of where I am in my grief on any given day and that allows me to look back on previous entries to see where I've come from. The Reflections and Daily Refuge sections really help me navigate the wide array of emotions that come with my grief, and give me practical coping tools. Reid's voice is soothing and comforting to listen to. I highly recommend the Grief Refuge App, especially for anyone who has experienced a recent loss or feels like they are having a hard time processing the emotions that come up after a heartbreaking loss.

Access to support at your fingertips
I’ve been struggling with losing my husband 6 months ago. As a young widow it’s been hard to have time for support groups that truly understand. After finding this app I look forward to the daily refuge and have started to listen to the podcasts as well. It’s the most accessible resource I have found. I would recommend it to all who would like to continue their journey in understanding how this grief can transform us. I look forward to using more of what the app offers.
