Very buggy and not intuitive at all
Been using this app for a few weeks and it’s pretty terrible. The map always takes me to the middle of the Pacific Ocean and then I have to scroll and zoom for like 30 seconds to find my actual location. Half the time I pull the app up, it doesn’t work and I have to log out and back in. Overall, a very frustrating app, but once you learn all the problems and how to fix them it does work. 3/10. Wouldn’t recommend.

Reliable app for campaign canvassing
Saves time, allows us to canvass more voters. Works well, even in areas with no reliable cell service.
It’d be good if it worked.
Currently using this app on a local race on an iPhone 6s. How does this app deserve 1 star? Let me count the ways.
1) It takes FOREVER TO LOAD. 10-15 minutes and 8-10% battery just to update data. I’d hate to see what this would look like for a Senate race where there’s a whole state’s worth of data to load. There’s gotta be a simpler process to check for updates to entries. And while we’re talking about loading...
2) It doesn’t load properly at least 65% of the time. Meaning running through the aforementioned startup process again. Logging out, logging in, even uninstalling and reinstalling hasn’t fixed any of this.
3) Frequent crashes. I’ve had this crash while I was in the field and lost all my data over the course of an afternoon. I’ve also had it never leave the “load loop” where the campaign data shows up in the overview but isn’t accessible via the main menu.
4) Data disappearing, houses not logging entries, and generally having to go back 2 and 3 times to re-enter one house that keeps showing back up in the not canvassed pile.
5) The battery drain is worse than many games I’ve played on my phone. Good luck using this with other mapping programs, lest your phone battery be dead in 2 hours. (I had to get a portable power bank to handle being in the field for more than a couple hours.)
6) Nonexistent technical support. Good luck calling Moonshadow and getting someone who can do anything more than sell you this godawful app. I left a message for their team and it’s been almost a month and they haven’t even given me a call back to say “I’m sorry, we’re looking into this.”
I don’t normally write reviews trashing apps, but honestly I think a 200-level Comp Sci class with some basic SQL knowledge could come up with something better and more efficient. This would be a good app, too, if it worked. I hesitated giving it 1* because the mapping function is quite nice, but it just isn’t enough to make up for everything listed above.
Use any other canvassing app. Even a pad and paper and some Excel prowess would do you better than this.

Useless
The app only has a username/login screen. No information about how to sign up or use the app.
Upon investigation, it looks like it works with another app or two that you can sign up for and pay tons of money for...or you can just get the data you need from your county clerks office for pennies in the dollar.
Then use that data with another app (which I won't mention here, because I'm not going to advertise for them), and there you have it.
I fail to see any value in this app whatsoever, especially for the price once you get started..
