About

GroundTime is the meetup app built for verified airline crew. When your layover lands you in an unfamiliar city or your base brings you home, GroundTime connects you with other crew nearby — for coffee, drinks, dinner, or whatever fills the hours between flights. Every member is a verified airline employee. No impostors, no outsiders. — Find meetups at any airport — See which crew are currently around at your base or layover — Create a meetup in 30 seconds — Join your domicile and local base groups for ongoing crew conversation — Vouching from real meetups builds your reputation over time GroundTime works the way crew schedules work. Instant join. Ephemeral chats. No friend requests, no DMs. Show up, hang out, move on. Currently for airline crew employees only — pilots, flight attendants, gate agents, dispatch, ground crew. Family pass holders and retired crew are not supported at this time. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.groundtime.com/terms Privacy Policy: https://groundtime.com/privacy

More crew, more places. This update adds 13 airlines — including Endeavor, Avelo, NetJets, CommuteAir, GoJet, Piedmont and Etihad — and over 100 new airports worldwide. Airline crew rooms: smaller airlines now get one room for the whole airline, so your base feels full from day one Request an airport: can't find one in search? Ask for it with one tap — we add the airports crew ask for most New location settings: see and manage location access in one place, with a clear picture of what it does for you Faster Explore, smoother first load, and better readability in light mode Fixes for profile photo options, checkout, and a handful of layout issues

User reviews

Seems very promising! Eager for more adopters!

Love the UI. Everything is organized very intuitively.

Response from developer

Thanks for the kind words! That's exactly what we're going for. More crew are joining every week, and the app gets better with every one of them. If your crew friends haven't found us yet, tell them we're saving them a seat.

Profile issue

Cant complete a profile because not all the bases are listed for my airline

Response from developer

Thanks for flagging this, you were right, and it's fixed in 1.4.0! Base lists were incomplete for some airlines, so the picker now has a "More options" path that lets you choose any airport. Better yet: when you pick one we didn't have listed, it's added for every crew member at your airline after you. Update and you should be able to finish your profile, see you there!

Needs to add charter

I’m a charter pilot. Often end up in the same hotel as airline crews overnight, and I think that it would benefit everyone if 135 operators were included. It’d also be nice if the signup process didn’t just stop if your airline isn’t included. Use the radio telephony lookup list or something to auto-add.

Response from developer

You're right, and we agree, charter and 135 crews share the same hotels and deserve the same crew room. We've started adding operators beyond the majors (NetJets and others are in as of 1.4.0), and you can request yours from inside the app. One honest note on why it's not automatic: every member is a manually verified crew member, so we onboard each operator deliberately rather than auto-adding from a lookup. That verification standard is the whole reason the room is worth being in. Request your operator and it goes straight into our queue. Thanks for the thoughtful writeup, this is exactly the feedback that shapes the roadmap.

Update

Update the base options for RPA

Response from developer

Done! Republic's bases are in now, and 1.4.0 also added a "More options" picker so you're never stuck waiting on us: pick any airport, and it's added to Republic's list for the next crew member too. Thanks for the nudge, and welcome aboard!
