What's New in Grug Notes

1.0.14

August 9, 2026

- Improved keyboard toolbar, indentation guides, improved checkbox placement, and cleaner timer and scrolling behavior. - Can now close app or lose connection and chat responses will complete. - Reply to AI follow-up questions with tappable choices. - Discard Big Brain proposals — individually or all at once — with Undo. - Discarded proposals now leave a "N proposals discarded" note with Undo that survives reopening the chat and relaunching the app. - Bug fix: Typing stays fast and responsive even in long chat histories. - All block tasks from the web app are now available in the app's block menu. - Enjoy more consistent haptic feedback when checking off items. - Sync fixes: more reliable first-time note saves and clearer retry behavior when a sync cannot be completed. Better conflict resolution. - Record and Live from the keyboard toolbar on prompt and block pages; audio stays attached to the block you're editing. - Bug fix: Long prompt pages open near-instant. - Prompt pages now show scheduled blocks and pending offline notes, matching what appears on Today. - Long prompt names scroll horizontally without accidentally triggering a refresh, and dated note headings include the weekday. - Bug fix: No duplicate blank notes when another device has already created the day's note. - See the installed app version and build number in Settings. - Bug fixes where the chat list was incomplete or stopped loading older conversations. - See the AI's tool activity in chats: repeated tool calls (like a burst of calculations) collapse into one expandable group, matching the web app. - Fixes on Prompt Settings: publish or unpublish every existing block, or delete all blocks while keeping the prompt itself.

Grug Canoe

I’m not sure how to use this app, but these guys build really nice canoes.

So cool

Easy to use. Keeps me organized. Auto categorizes notes. Tracks my to do list. So cool.

Awesome app!

Easy to use, has saved me tons of time with note taking and planning!

Ai chat is awesome

I used it to create a training plan for an upcoming race and it laid out each individual day leading up the race detailing everything I should be doing including tapering down as the race gets closer. The app is really good and easy to use as well.

Retirement life saver

I retired and still seemed as busy as ever but was remarkably disorganized. Grug Notes is a game-changer. Between medical research, ocean paddling, exercise, and being a grandparent, I've had a constant stream of to-dos and article ideas, and never a consistent place to put them. The Daily Notes feature gives me one spot to catch it all as it happens, and since it takes voice input, I can just talk to my phone day or night without typing a word. Because Grug automatically builds pages for the people and topics I mention, my notes on grandkids, research contacts or ideas, and exercise routines don't get tangled together, they sort themselves.
The real win is not having to file anything myself. When an article idea or a to-do gets buried three days back, I just ask instead of hunting for it, and it finds the note. Everything autosaves instantly, there's nothing to learn, and it stays out of my way, which is exactly what I wanted in these retirement years, no staff, just an app.
