FANTASTIC initial results!
I am using the most recent version 1.2.0 and my initial results are fantastic! I do not mind giving it a full 5 stars because I was truly moved by this thing. The basic presets are a great start to your journey and I found myself coming back to the GSi Piano Studio preset (the one that initially loads) as well as the Intimate and of course the Jazz presets. THEN I discovered how much altering of tone you can get from the different mic choices and their placement. EGADS this is BRILLIANT! Oh…I should mention that I have been highly suspicious of previously modeled grand pianos by other developers, but GSi has totally NAILED this. I personally am a Steinway lover from long ago and I know I can get fairly close to the sound I want just by messing around more. For now though, I spent a really thoughtful and energetic hour pounding through all my songs on this library and I LOVE IT. I shall hope to produce a video soon showing y’all my experience so you can hear for yourself. For now, go out and listen to the demos that already exist and I think you’ll be as excited to try it as I was. GREAT JOB GSi!!! (By the by, I’m a huge GSi fan all the way back to Organized Trio).

Not the best nor the worst, needs major work.
I’ve heard worse sampled pianos but man, this physical modeling imitation doesn’t live up to the GSi name. Not only does it have such a chorus like sound, the piano seems to change timbre and formant somehow randomly while playing. I will say I like the character and the lower register is really really nice (whenever it randomly decides to sound good), but it’s just, not very enjoyable to play on live, plus velocity to dynamics (db volume) seems weird. Half pedaling barely works and sounds really bad, no sostenuto or una corda. Could use more work, 2/5 (though I will give it the benefit if the doubt since this is in it early stages )
