Saved my life while in Guangzhou
I normally travel to China but this is the first time I was in Guangzhou. This app made my moving around the city much simpler. The app is free which makes the content very useful.

The "in app purchases" is the cost of opening the app to use it. The only thing that is free is the opportunity to purchase. I have no review of use because I did not pay for this worthless app. Are the developers in China? They give China a BAD name. I enjoyed visiting Guangzhou and the kind and open people there. I hope you give Guangzhou a visit, too. Cheers!

Can't access maps until you buy the map pack. Waste of time.
Okay but map not detailed
The descriptions read like they were translated from Chinese - and not very well. The background on each site is pretty limited and some sentences don't make sense (and are often ungrammatical). On top of that, I really wanted a good offline map but this one is hardly useful. It doesn't even label all the major streets and the metro map doesn't include the Chinese characters so I can't ask a local where a particular subway stop is, unless they read pinyin (many do but not everyone). The app is a good starting point to get some ideas about where to go but you really need to then ask someone else what a site is like (for example the Museum Tomb of the Nanyue King - is it the actual tomb you'll be visiting or just relics removed from the tomb??)
